just had all the parts put on my a3 and still on start up and turn off there is a clunking/knocking noise coming from the front of my car. any ideas?

i have the same issue, well when turning the car off mostly. i am changing the dual mass flywheel as thats what i belive it may be.
also i have changed my anti roll bar drop links, new centre exhaust mounts and front wishbone rear bushes to sort out rubbing/knocking noise in low gears or over bumps yet its still happening

I had this problem. I left my old A3 pre face lift for a week in cold weather when I went snowboarding. Came back and it had a single knock every time I started the car. However when it was warm it stopped knocking on start up..... I sold the car
