electrical problem

Hi there. I have a 98 2.4 v6 b5. Got in the car after not using it for 2 days, and found my wipers, indicators, blower and demiser were not working. Never had a problem before, so have not bump or jump started it. does any one have any ideas of the solution. Have checked fuses (all of them as cannot find a diagram) all are fine. Hi and welcome.

I think something very similar happened to someone last year. Do a search using the search function. IIRC it came down to the ignition switch being faulty.

Thanks for response. Just tried it but didnt work. Have tried disconecting battery for 20 mins and that didnt work either. Everything else works, hazards, stereo, horn, lights side and main and flash main beam. If you have any other ideas let me know. Thanks Stephen.

I had same problem try turning key to start car, as soon as cars started turn key back a couple of mm, don't turn engine of just turn key back a little

Hi. Took car to an motor electritian today. Found problem. Was a relay, No 177 auxilery contol (something like that). All sorted, apart from interesting prob with wipers. been told it is the motor park switch. They wont always return to the bottom of the windscreen. The bloke charged £40 for diagnosing prob and a tenner for the new relay. Probably took him 10 mins of which 7 was to find the part in his stockroom. Well at least is sorted. Happy days. Car is now for sale if anyone interested. 2.4 v6 30v engine. rear spoiler, sideskirts, 17inch alloys, subwoofer, no rust. Message me . Thanks, Stephen.
