Im thinking of booking mine in at the local audi dealers.

I want a variable 2 service, but its expensive. The audi site seems very distant on what this service includes.

My question is simply, what do they do for the 235 quid?

Thanks.

Ok firstly, what car do you have, how old is it and where are you based?

If you can go to a local independant specialist, it will probably be half the price and a better job too.

Where are you based mate? Would let people recommend VAG specialists in your area :)

I live in stoke on trent and the type is a 2000 1.8t.

Iv thought about taking it to an independent company but Iv heard rumours that Audi even do jobs like servicing the alternator and would be worried that the independent will only do the standard service.

Haha drinking tea sounds right!

for that price i would imagine, oil, oil filter, spark plugs, polen filter, fuel filter, air filter and an inspection of the car and a scan of the ecu

£50 oil
£10 oil filter
£40 sparks
£10 fuel filter
£10 air filter
£15 pollen filter

£135 - that leaves £90 for labour and an inspections

but that's if they even do the above lol

You missed the time they'll spend looking for faults on other bits of the car so they can come back to you with the 'We've inspected your car and it needs xxxx doing, that'll be £££££s please"

Oh, and if you're really lucky, they'll kerb the wheels and get some f***wit to 'valet' it for you with a brillo pad.

i asked a quote when i went to buy the doorblade (£156) @ audi how much is it for a service they said around £400. and a cambelt and water pump would be around £800. i was like :keule:

not to mention im going to get the roof rails sorted and they charging me 30% if its part of warrenty corrosion wouldnt it be free?
