Black Edition Model Year help

hello

looking to buy a black edition

found a 2011 11 plate A3 Black Edition with the original style wheels in silver(unfortunately - would prefer the black especially on a white car)

would i be correct in thinking this car is probably a 2010 built car which hasnt been registered until 2011?

are there any differences spec wise in 2010 model to 2011 model

Its probably just that someone, quite rightly so, binned the horrible new style 5 spoke ones. I know I would!
I believe MY11 tail lights are different, on a 3dr anyway.

MY11 cars have smaller door mirrors, also the tail lights are black instead of red on 3 door cars. If car's got sat-nav MY11 cars have piano black surround around the screen. Hope this help you distinguish which year the car is - I like the new dark 5 rotor arm alloys, I'd like the contrast with my car being silver. Karl

I have an 11 plate BE and was ordered in August 2010 and delivered at the end of march 2011 so I very much doubt it would be a 2010 model as they are pretty much built to order.
