Dash display turning off (except for the yellow bit at the top) when doors are shut!?

Alright guys,

Would any of you have any idea why my display would suddenly stop working apart for the yellow piece at the top?? Only thing is when ive got the door or doors open it all lights up as normal with the symbol of the car with the doors open!

Very strange i thought it might have been a fuse or somthing but it cant be if the top part of the screen is staying lit up and the fact ALL of it works with the door open....

Help!?

Have you turned the DIS off? Press the button under the right stalk to turn it on. Maybe that simple hopefully.

i cant check that yet coz my car is at my mates house but i thought that button was just a reset button for the mpg average ect?

Yeah, press the reset button underneath, probably knocked it off mate.

One press not held will turn it off, normally when you see the mpg reading!

It resets if you hold it in, turns the DIS of if you press it quickly

NICE ONE! i rang my mate and asked him to try it for me and it worked! That just saved me a trip to Audi for them just to push a button and laugh at me....
