Alarm on my s4

While I was cleaning my car this morning I decided to test all the alarm functions make sure they all worked and set the alarm off
I could not believe it when the alarm went off
Is some one at Audi taking the ****? I decided to pop round to my mate’s house and see if his was the same on his b7 tdi s-line and to my amazement it was
A faint beeping from under the back of the car that at best wouldn’t wake me if I was sleeping in the car

What the hell is the alarm all about?

Proper rubbish isnt it, like the beeping of a cheap alarm clock.
I wonder if there is a way of connecting it to the horns? please...anyone

yes i was thinking the same thing or is there nothing in the vag com thing to make the horn sound at the same time perhaps

The answer is NO. I have a cabby with a knackered siren and have asked many people and tried using VCDS to link to horn but unable to do so.
I even asked at alarm specialist if he could fit a different siren, obviously louder, but he sort of refused to do the job. OMG its only an Audi A4, not a flipping Bugatti Veyron.
If you sort it let me know.

As above, but you could maybe tap into the siren feed & relay this to another siren, thus louder whilst retaining existing, just be aware of battery drainage if in use of course.
