    TDI Quattro

The inlet chambers/throttle bodies carbonise and cause rough idle/tickover, sticky butterfly valve and sometimes a warning light. Think this happens to a lot of the 2.0 tdi's. The chambers are expensive to be replaced by Audi which is why its cheap but they can be cleaned with certain chemicals...

    LPG Conversion - 3.2 v6

+1 Make sure you're going to keep it a while after converting it as it wont add any value to the car and may make it harder to sell, if you're likely to sell it within a couple of years then just sell up now, get what you want and if its going to be a petrol car then maybe get it converted as...

    LPG Conversion - 3.2 v6

You can also apply to dvla to have the car re certified for emissions and registered as an LPG vehilce giving a saving when you tax the car. You can also register with Powershift or Transport for London for £10 and you will then be exempt for the London congestion charge which is £10 per day.

    LPG Conversion - 3.2 v6

You have to have the systems re certified each year and you also have to inform your insurance company. They systems are very safe, theres a minimum of 3 safety valves inline from the injection system back to stop you blowing up and the tanks are usually 10mm thick or more. Don't be put off by...

    LPG Conversion - 3.2 v6

I've introduced gas fleets for 3 different companies now from Small vans up to Artics. You get what you pay for, make sure you use an LPGA company and push for a 2 year warranty. Multipoint systems are now the norm and Prins is a good manufacturer, as is Romano and BRC but I'd budget for up to...

What is the worst mod you have ever seen

The Corsa is a total abomination -there should be laws against lowering the tone of the 4 ring logo, even if its used for trying to raise the image of another car.

How much has your insurance gone up when you've declared mods?

Hastings Direct added 10% for my 18's, I explained they are standard Audi wheels but they stuck to the fact they aren't standard for my car hence the increase. Lucky I have a clean licence and full ncb so the extra was just under £40.

Cam Belt Broken at 102000 miles

My owners manual says every 8 years but Audi have changed this to every 6 years...they didn't advertise it, I found out from the dealer and got it done for peace of mind.

    Wipers broke?

Do the A3's have wiper linkage problems like the A4's? Had to replace my wiper linkage last week, the drivers side pivot had completely seized, luckily caught it in time and didn't burn the motor out, Audi want £235 + vat all in, I did it myself for £40.00
