    Pressure washer reccomendations please......

Yep... have now seen the error of my ways. The pic on the box is of a similar “pre-installed” filter.

    Pressure washer reccomendations please......

What’s that on the water inlet, a filter? Didn’t get that with mine. Edit: Can see on the box now I should have this filter. Email has been sent. Let’s hope they don’t insist on me returning the machine. It’s built and has been tested now.

    Pressure washer reccomendations please......

Just treated myself to the K5X from Wickes on the £153 deal. It is Father’s Day after all. Had a Nilfisk C110 for about 8 years and although still going it’s starting to pulse and just isn’t powerful enough when using my foam gun. They’re still good value though as can be had for about £70...

How I’d like to take care of my Daytona SQ5!

I have garage envy and what I wanna know is how the water drains under the swiss-track flooring. Also how is his garage not full of damp and mould!

    Wheel Cleaner

Wheels will be getting sealed/coated in a couple of weeks as the cars off for a new car protection detail so I just need a good product for a weekly maintenance wash. Been using Bilberry for years and just wondered if the game had moved on. Seems apparently not... which is no bad thing.

    Cleaning flys off screen

Sorry but I am laughing... loudly! I've heard of wrapping a car... But not with cling film!

What Detailing / Car Care Products Have You Bought / Ordered Today?

Thanks. Good to hear of your experience with Bathe+. I've not used any Gyeon products before as been out of the detailing game for a few years now (blame kids) but the new car has reignited the bug. My detailer will be using mostly Gyeon stuff so I thought I'd give them a go - seem to have a...

    Building Dust

Personally I wouldn’t polish outside if the dust is accumulating that fast. You’ll end up contaminating the pad and doing more harm than good. Even if you have a garage it sounds like it’s going to be tricky to get the paintwork clean enough to polish. Almost sounds like a health hazard!

    Swirl Marks

Well the dealership in question couldn’t follow the OP’s simple instruction to begin with so no, in this case, I don’t hold them in high regard. I am however not tarring all with the same brush here. There are some good dealers out there. Also, I’m not so sure it will even be Audi who will be...

Nilfisk C120 pressure washer - offer on Amazon

Had one for 5+ years albeit a C110. Still going strong.

    Swirl Marks

Proof to me to not use their services. Swirls are 100% removable!

    Swirl Marks

Pretty sure you can refine equally well with a rotary. You just need the right pads/polishes. Regardless, the sentiment is the same... An Audi approved bodyshop (basically the one that's the cheapest for them to use) won't invest the time achieving a flawless finish that a detailer will.

Guard X Any Good or Avoid?

This sounds wrong to me. I’m not sure what’s in guardx but would have thought a strong citrus pre wash would remove it. IIRC you’ve already been quoted for a new car protection detail and this normally includes a decontamination (including claying) and 1st stage polish and this, I would have...

    Swirl Marks

Personally I would decline, body shops are not detailers. It’s not there primary trade and would imagine they’ll give it a quick going over with a mop and that’ll be it. A decent detailer will be focused on achieving the best results for you.

Guard X Any Good or Avoid?

Congrats on the car and get some pics up! Probably not worth getting it detailed/protected now but depends on wether the paint is swirled and whether or not you are happy with it as things stand.

    Steering wheel a bit worn

What about a re-trim? Maybe a bit extreme but I guess it depends on how much it bugs you. Royal Steering Wheels have a good rep. Edit: even have some golf r examples on the home page.
