Could be anything really, sometimes door seals can make this type of noise. Could also be pulleys, wheel bearings, try and pinpoint it more if you can.
Hi all,
Looking for a bit of advice on lowering springs. Ive seen some H&R for about £145 and these lower the car 35mm. Ive also seen some ST(by KW) for about £135 that lower the car 40mm.
Anyone know which will be best? Car is currently on 16's.
I only want to lower it slightly without...
Had a problem with mine where it was jerky when coming off the throttle but this was a manual. Mine turned out to be a vacuum leak on the two pipes coming off the cam cover. Made rubber pipes to replace the broken plastic pipes and the jerky problem stopped.
I need to get that done soon to keep the costs down. The car seems okay, plugging in a basic code reader brings up P0420 Catalyst system efficiency below threshold (bank 1)
Cheers anyway bud! Ive heard of this VCDS diagnostics tool, is it expensive? The emissions light keeps coming on despite resetting it with a basic code reader so really need something proper to find out what the problem with it is.
Where abouts is the PCV on it? Not had the timing belt done no, chain and tensioners where done about a year ago but the problem has only started in the last few months,
Hi,
Got and Audi A3 2.0FSI with an idle issue. The car will idle fine sometimes but other times it will be hunting. Sometimes the idle will move around the 600 to 1000 mark when sat in traffic. Other times it will slightly move around the 650- 750 mark. Ive heard something about an oil cap test...
Hi, my audi a3 2.0fsi made the same start up noise as yours and only lasted for about 30 seconds. After a few months of it doing this it began to do it when accelerating and didn't sound nice at all. On investigation we took off the manifold heat shield and the underside of the shield was all...
Well after bleeding the system and going for a drive with the cap locked in, it turns out that it does hold the pressure and the bubbling coolant has stopped!
Ive just had another look at the cap and it appears the black plastic bit moves around in the blue clips when you hold the cap in your hand. It appears that the blue bit that actually screws into the tank doesn't screw tight in the threads because of the locking thing and the cap can never pull...
Thanks for the replies. I know the click is supposed to be there its just the fact it has play in it once its locked in. Have Audi given me the wrong cap/tank combo and resulting in it not holding pressure?
