I would have to agree with you ANX! You actually beat me to it!
The more and more advanced hardware and software is being used in all sectors including cars, then the more complex issues are created. In my 15 years of experience there is never nothing better than a bit of old fashioned...
That really does not fill you with much confidence in the technical ability of the Audi Tech's with these new models. All the amazing technology you could ask for and they do a simple turn it off and turn it on again!! I know it does indeed fix 99% of all technical problems with tech as I work...
I had a really nasty paint gouge on the front of my bonnet that someone did in a public car park. It was massively deep and looked awful as you could see the white primer. I took it to a local smart repair and they resprayed the bonnet and they matched the colour and finish brilliantly!!

I ordered on the 29th of December and my car is expected to start build on the 21st of March and be ready for collection at the end of April. I was not informed of any kind of hold up on the black pack etc....
Hope it is now all sorted ANX. It does seem like you are having a really crappy time with the service department at your local dealer, which is obviously adding to the issue.
I have experienced really bad service from different Audi dealerships in the past and it really does knock your own...
Really sorry to hear you are having all these issues with the B9. It does worry me a bit about my new B9. But I will say that my current B8.5 was not perfect from new.
I had serious cabin rattle issue with the B pillars and also the front seats. My local dealership ended up stripping the B...
Been informed by my the dealership that there is no chance for the car being delivered before the new tax changes!! Ouchy that is gonna sting next year!! :(:(
Well I shall maybe stick with Daytona and the 19" wheels and sports suspension. I have this setup on my current B8.5 and I still find it pretty good ride quality. Specially compared to my A3 which pretty much had scaffolding poles as suspension!! :tongueclosed:
Well I will have to let you know what the B9 190PS with a manual box is like when mine turns up in April. I have contacted the remap company I have used for all my previous Audi's and he is happy to write a custom map for the B9 if I am interested.
I have to say that engine in the new A4 seems alot better than my current A4 B8! The older 170PS engine in the B8 seemed incredibly sluggish compared to my old A3. I did get a custom remap on my current A4 B8 and it goes like stink!!
Ok that is worth knowing :)
I have remapped all my previous Audi's and the Audi service dept at my local dealership has never had any issues with my remapping habits. The first Audi I owned an A3 2.0TDI, the dealership mapped it for me using a Superchips map.
Definitely worth considering.....
The A4 looks awesome!! You can tell you are into your detailing!!
I am considering the DTUK box instead of a custom stage 1 remap. But I have always been wary of tuning boxes instead of remaps.... Does it all work ok, or do you have some start/stop issues??
Still really cannot make the choice!! If you could post some pics of your A4 in the daylight that would really help!! Mine is scheduled for being built on March the 20th so I am guessing I still have time to change. Up until the end of last week I was still adding additional extras.... :)

Really like the scuba blue with the black pack. I was unable to find any decent pics of a B9 in Scuba blue with the black pack. So I played the safe option and went for Daytona grey, a small part of me wishes I had taken the gamble!!
Hi everyone,
Been a long time reader of the forums specially the A3 and A4 sections. Ordered a new A4 from my local dealership Boston Audi in December. Cannot wait till I can pick it up in April!
