Interesting point rav and one I was wondering on Saturday when out in my mates A4 1.8T. Mine is only a Quattro and not the S3, but it's noticably noisier than the A4. I would even say the A4 sounded a lot smoother too under acceleration. Any thoughts anyone..... Cheers, Ben

They never mentioned anything about it being dangerous. They said the creak is to do with the bushes 'wearing', therefore the anti roll bar effectively rubbing (under pressure ie speed humps etc) against them. I think this is the reason they have decided to replace the anti roll itself aswell...

So you had the same problem with the creaking too then gilbo? If so, did the replacement sort it out?
