I've got an A3 110/115 TDi which I've had remapped with the upsolute remap (140ish), it's also got a full Milltek turbo back exhaust system and I'll be fitting a green cotton panel filter shortly. When I had my Leon Cupra TDi I was told fitting larger injectors would help improve performance...
I've had mine done at the dealers at no cost, just booked it in on a saturday morning. Also had my Passat and Leon done previously at no cost either by the dealers. Might be worth checking with another dealer.
I had one fitted to my Civic Sport it was very well made and sounded awesome when the VTEC kicked in, did give a little bit of boomy resonance when sat at motorway speeds, I rang up the suppliers who got me another back box and this got rid of the resonance. Only other thing I got with it were...
I've got the Upsolute remap on mine done by CCC Tech and I have no worries with it and it makes a world of difference to the cars performance. Not sure about a FMIC but some one on here will have experience of it. When I had my Leon Cupra TDi I know a lot of the guys were doing FMICs to there...
Make sure you have a full tank of petrol there is a couple of good garages near the ring that do high octane fuel so fill up there and while your there make sure you check your tyre pressures are spot on, this will make a difference. Make sure you take plenty of fluid for you as well you can get...
Dubmeister do UK legal pressed plates http://www.dubmeister.co.uk/ I've had these on 3 of my cars now and never had any problems quick turnaround time too.
What part numbers did you order for the 1.6 gear knobs. On a previous thread someone who either worked or knew the parts guy at his local dealers posted the following part numbers
8L0711141 01C - Satin Black Leatherette.
8L0711141A 8BS - Satin Black Leather.
I took note of them as my kid...
If you look through the show us your A3 thread you'll se pics with just about every wheel choice going. I have RS6 reps on mine. The ones on your dads A6 won't fit as the PCD is different. I went 30-40mm lower on mine and the ride is a little harsher but not uncomfortable and for me the stance...
The difference to the Leon took it from fast to rapid and with all the extra torque you didn't need to change gear as often and in gear accelleration was unbelievable on the autobahn it would still squat under acceleration at 80+ and pulled like a train. Sometimes regret getting rid of it. I was...
I've had a couple of diesels remapped, My Leon Cupra TDi went from 150 to around 190 had two runs on different rolling roads and had figures of 187 and 189 and it could quite easily stay with an Astra VXR and a civic type R when I had a go at a trackday at Cadwell Park.
I've also had my A3 done...
I've had the upsolute re-map done by Simon at CCC Tech to a couple of my VAG diesels and have heard only good things about their S3 remaps as well.
With these it doesn't matter where you are in the country as Simon will travel to you and do the work at your workplace or home wherever you want...
Sadly at this moment in time no. My car is in the uk but I'm currently overseas with the forces. Somebody else had posted a brochure pic in a previous thread and that was why I had a look on VAGCAT for the various options available as mine was well worn.
If you look on VAGCAT there are quite a few listed I got the S-Line black leather gear knob and gaitor part no. 8L0863278 BNRMD for £20-78 + VAT from my local dealers.
This is a one piece black leather gear gaitor and black perforated leather gear knob with an alloy sleeve between the two.
It...
They will fit but you won't be able to tilt them forward to access the rear seats.
I put some 5 door VR6 seats in my brothers 3 door Golf and we had to strip the seats down to the frames and swap loads of bits over to get the tilting mechanism to work, it was a right pain in the a**e
Your best...
