Nurburgring lap in spares or repairs £300 Audi A4 1.8t

It was great fun, had the roof down and just enjoyed the experience, wasn't an attempt for a hot lap but was certainly not slow. Hoping to be taking the A4 in May next yewr

Glad you enjoyed it mate. Took my TT over in early August. Did you go to Pinochio's for pizza?

Wavey lines on new windscreen!!!! Not happy

Not an OE screen, looks like some cheap pikey pattern job (admittedly I'm not a glass expert). The wavey marks look almost like dirt. I'm of course assuming you've tried to clean it? Get onto your insurer and say you are not happy with quality of the replacement and want it doing again to an...

2 Good Tyres or 4 Average Tyres

Was running Kumho tyres for about 3 years and for a budget tyre have been impressed. Many high speed miles and even a bit of track work. Not awesome but more than acceptable

    stereotypical Audi driver article

I'm pretty knackered then as I own an A4 and a TT. Seriously that writer needs a blow job more than just about any person alive. Might just cheer the miserable sod up

    Exhaust Flames? Is it legal?

Sierra Cosworth manual used to state that it was quite possible for the car to flame when driven exuberantly.

New car for the Mrs. Suggestions?

Finally time to get shot of the ****** Peugeot and start looking for its replacement. Have a budget of 11k, must be Green (£20 VED max), 5 doors and not be completely gutless, sub 20k miles, 2 years old at oldest. The Audi 1.6 Tdi was the choice but can't get one without shoving the budget...

Thinking of purchasing a car from the Dark Side!

E46 M3 is a super bit of kit. Love driving my brothers as it's so much fun. Only criticism is it's a bit too refined and very easy to stray into licence losing territory. If it breaks it can be expensive. Having to pull the motor on my brothers after it threw a rod, which is almost unheard of.

How much bhp for fast car?

300bhp in my RS Turbo makes for a quick car. Looking forward to rolling her back out the garage. 300bhp(Ish) in my A4 is still quick but not on the same level.

    Accident repair

Don't let those fuckwits at Elephant anywhere near you car. I have had several dealings with the Admiral group and all have been less than favourable.

    toyo proxes tr1 worth it?

The Falken's I have run in the past have had. Alternatively don't worry about it and just don't let your mrs drive your car :cower:

    toyo proxes tr1 worth it?

Not used the Ecorun but always found the Falkens to be an acceptable tyre. A budget tyre worth looking at tgat tyre snobs look down on is the Kumho Ku37. Run these since my last set of T1Rs and they are on par. Was sceptical how they'd cope with track work but they have allowed me to shove more...

    toyo proxes tr1 worth it?

Do you mean T1R? I ran them for a few years. Very good in the dry, ok wet. Quite a soft sidewall. They are an old tyre now and been out of production for quite a while.

Not at fault officially . No what?

Take it to the place you trust no messing. The insurance places will cut corners to save on expense. Friends of ours had their people carrier done through the insurance at their approved body shop as it was easier and they'd offered to deal with everything. The car has been returned and rejected...

Random: luton van miles to tank?

Depends on the van, how they are laden and how you drive them. From my experience with them I would say you're looking at 2.5 to 3 tanks for each vans return trip.

    car warranty?

Wouldn't waste my time and money with one. £36 a month over 3 years is over £1200. Which is going to cover or go a long way towards a repair. If you don't claim and have the waranty you just set fire to over a grand

    Tyre advice

I'd just be changing them, 3mm and less the water displacing ability of the tyre is seriously compromised. If we get some ***** weather you might struggle to trade in a bent car.
