I see sadly that it’s going to be flattened to build more industrial estates. Shame as I was considering nipping down there in the summer for a play.

According to http://accelerationtimes.com/models/audi-sq5-tfsi I could 9.1 seconds for a 200m sprint. Not sure the Mrs would be very happy if she was a passenger though.

@terminator x ‘abused’??? You’re just showing you care ;) That is an element (sort of) of what these cars were designed for. Out of interest, what times were you getting on your runs?

@terminator x … with no obvious side effects? So has your RS4 got the same transmission as 2019 SQ5? Tiptronic, I believe, as opposed to S-tronic, which does have a launch control function as per the manual.

While I know ‘we’ don’t have official launch control, but has anyone tried something similar? I read on some thread there is a ‘torque converter’ method but it can fry the transmission, which clearly is undesirable. Might give it a try now the weather is improving slightly unless you folks know...

@isleaiw Do you find using higher octane fuels provides better MPG? And does that out weigh the additional, albeit pence, cost. The additional performance is a given. Based on this very scientific research, I would opt for Shell v Power. Possibly ;)

Surely it downloads the satellite image data direct from Google? Wouldn't make sense to download and cache all that stuff.

I switched to GM view for about 10 minutes on my way home on Saturday and all worked ok. Did have issues with MMI connect last week, so Audi could be messin’ with their servers but I would suspect the mapping data comes down live direct from Google unless Audi augement extra stuff on top.
