I was wondering if anybody has any recommendations for bonnet lifters for the A1 (or any - do not do it’s!).
Love the A1 competition but no lifters was a big surprise when I popped the bonnet (and the Mrs struggles if she needs to loft the bonnet!)
Hello,
About to take delivery of a new A1 competition next week and looking at Dashcam installations.
I’m going to install a DR750X (2CH) in and was keen to try the direct hardwire if easy enough given the 750X has inbuilt voltage protection etc now..
I was wondering if anybody had...
Yep! But it is the OH’s first brand new car and she wants the Tech Pack mainly for the Sat Nav.
I think the annoyance is that she can’t re-order without losing £1500, making the sat nav £3000, especially when the car build date has been February this entire time and then switched to this week...
I have ordered an A1 and we just tried to add the technology pack to find out car build date has been bought forward by 12 weeks and we can’t.
Do you know if it is possible to retrofit sat nav into the A1?
Ordered an A1 competition in August, told build was Feb, went to change config today to be told being built this week.
mrs is gutted as no tech pack now :-(
So I have spoken to kwik-fit, there printer is Brooke and they are awaiting a new one to turn up.
the car is booked in for Wednesday to be checked as the guy agreed it’s not right.
Shall update Wednesday!
This was my expectation but I didn’t receive the readings when I picked it up.
I’ll phone kwik for in the morning and ask for the readings, and highlight the steering wheel isn’t sitting in the middle!
Kwik-fit carried out both.
It makes sense that it was out due to the excessive tyre wear, but I guess I can try and Audi and make a point of saying I am burning through tyres and it’s aligned but the steering wheel isn’t?!
given Audi charge about £160 for tracking... should I demand a copy of...
I am having issues with my Q5 tyres and I’m unsure where to go now.
The car is 20 months old and on 24k and I have just replaced my tyres again!
About 6 months in the tyres were wearing really badly, it was given a four wheel alignment and I was informed the alignment was severely off hence...
So the car has Michelin Latitude Sport 3’s all around, I did raise it with the garage (Audi) as it is only a year old and I was surprised by the wear on the tyres. They just said it was normal and probably potholes...
weird as it would be warranty work they would get paid for..
My car recently went in for its first servicce after one year (19k) and the garage picked up on the tyre wear.
In short, the tyres on the passenger side (left) were worn more than then tyres on the right, this seemed odd to me that it wasn't on the axle but on the side?
When i queried this i...
Fingers crossed, Audi Assistance are actually coming back tomorrow to fit it for me at home, so I can't really fault them yet they have been brilliant and just sorted it no questions asked. Hopefully it won't chuck it down!
Ahh I think they are backup in case of main light failure as mine flash with indicators.
As an aside the fault was found by Audi Assistance, there are two micro switches that detect when the boot is shut. One triggers the “boot open” warning on the dash, the other detects if the boot is open...
My 2018 Q5 (just under 11 months old) has been repeatedly showing rear light failures lately and I have noticed that I am losing all lights on the boot lid.
I took it into Audi a while back and they said there was nothing wrong with it but tonight I again noticed it was off and all my rear...
It's also worth checking how they deal with claims...
CK use a "Claims management company" that was just a solicitors.
They charged horrific rates for absolutely everything, including charging multiples of the actual cost for a hire car (but its ok as the other party would pay..), booking the...
