I bought a new turbo for my 2007 2.0tdi last week through local motor factors and it was a new garret one from BTN turbos. Came in at £688 inc vat and fitting kit. Well worth the money. Lovely turbo and gives great power.

That's exactly what I was going to try and do. Have left pipes off. May try and crank car over with glow plugs out again too and see if I can blow more oil out that way.

Have drained inter cooler pipes and going to blow cooler through. Don't know how else to clean the cooler it's self.

Yeah I took glow plugs out and there was lots of oil in bored. Now turns over. Just hope once turbo is fitted the engine doesn't run on its own oil that's in engine. As then it will need engine as well.

I have bought a new unit from BTN turbos. Through a parts supplier I used to work for. May have been a few quid more but comes with 2 year warranty.

My 07 140. Gets about 450-500 miles to a tank. And I have a heavy foot every now and then. And my turbo blew 3 days ago so hope for more when replaced. It's also had a remap.

Hybrid I'm guessing is going to cost more and take longer to get the car back on the road. Euro car parts do a new garret turbo, may go down that route. Anyone even bought one of these. ???
