My car is currently on 91k miles and the noise hasnt changed since I bought it, I would have thought if it was glow plugs the car would have thrown a code or something like that, but the car is a bit slighish when cold but I thought thats normal really, once warmed up there is no noise or anything.

Never thought about that to be honest, Im not even sure where they are located on this engine, never had them changed and the car was on 77k when I bought it, never really had any problems of the car struggling to start

Noise is quite loud at idle when the car is cold, the auxillary belt was removed and the noise was still there, the cambelt and water pump where changed but it still remains. Anyone had this problem before or could suspect what it is? Kind of sounds like marbles bouncing around and dissapears...
