I just checked, MSG was the website I enquired through. perhaps they have tightened up their deposit conditions. Business must be good, or they are just bluffing.
I wonder if the 1 series being slow is a result of delays in Germany that are less of an issue in Mexico or perhaps, BMW is prioritising higher value sales to maximise short term profit.
Unfortunately, it looks like Boris may have some competition. Audi Forces Direct is saying the official...
The M240i is made in Mexico and from the little bit of reading I have done, they seem to be doing better than Germany for whatever reason. Six months is what I have been quoted.
That's very true Mike, some of Audi's recent wheel designs have left me cold but they are great looking wheels. Why they felt the need to add this daft embellishment baffles me.
That's not a bad idea on the Carbon Black, less cost and avoids the wheel garnish (just need to add a few options back in). I also gather that the CB model gets carbon spoiler/side skirts/mirrors, but the Vorsprung inexplicably loses these for black painted. I will see what they have to say...
Thanks Mb, I had not thought about them being under lacquer as the wheels appear to be a semi-matt finished. Perhaps they both me more than most. The only colour they seem to work on is black and only thenbecause a black RS3 is very black.
I am going to see about ordering an RS3 tomorrow through the NHS discount scheme, and provided they can deliver before Christmas, will go ahead (otherwise it's an M240i). I would really like a Vorsprung but am not keen on these graphics, which on most colours just look naff. It's hard enough...
Thanks guys and hi Alan. Yes I am glad, the A8 is in a different league and you would need to tick nearly every option on the A6 spec list to come near to this particular A8. A bit of luck goes a long way sometimes, I have never seen an A8 with this spec and with low miles. Right place, right...
Great to see a forum dedicated to the A8 and with plenty of passionate members. These are complex and expensive cars to keep working so sharing knowledge is good for all of us
Picked up our first Audi last week, a 2011 A8 with the mighty 4.2 diesel engine. Its an ex Audi exec car so has a...
Joe - thanks, good to hear from someone who has driven all the variants. I am not at all worried about comfort, rather just wanted to make sure the car wasnt too crashy on the lowered S suspension which if I understood you is not too much of a problem.
I have given the S6 some thought, I would...
I will certainly give the local dealer a chance once we have nailed down what we want so its good to know they are decent to deal with. I am never quite sure as they have for so long had an easy ride with the oil industry. Will PM you when we get close. Yours is a great spec, we saw a couple of...
Yours has the optional S line suspension rather than the standard sports suspension that comes with the S line? If so thats great feedback as I want this car to handle as well as it can for a family barge. I live west of Aberdeen so have 20 mile commute into Cove each day, a mix of A and B roads...
Good feedback thakns Scott. I think I am pretty set on ordering it, probably fishing for more a confirmation than anything else. Thinking about the S Line sports suspension too, the S line cars are known for hard suspension but I have read the facelift is noticeably better over rough roads. A...
I found it a bit underwhelming when I took one out a few weeks ago with a mate who was a keen buyer. We didnt feel like we lost out when we got back in his Golf R. I dont see the value in the new RS3.
Hi,
New member here from the NE of Scotland.
Very tempted to order one of these and very interested in the sports diff. Coming from an M5 and having owned Evos in the past I want some handling. I have read the sports diff makes a real difference to the feel of the car but finding owners or...
