For sale a brand new LUK 3 piece clutch and DMF kit. Iirc there is a set of flywheel to crank bolts there too.
Was bought for the mrs’ car but it’s developed an engine knock so it’s getting broken.
Will fit a fwd car, up to buyer to check part numbers are correct for their vehicle.
£210...
So what else is needed to fit the 300mm tdi stuff? Or do they just fit on with the standard b7 caliper and carrier?
Could be handy for my old s4 and the b7 too. I’m not fussed about vented on the back either but my s4 rears are mega crap looking.
Last weekend I fitted a new turbo to the girlfriends car as it was burning oil and had catalyst efficiency errors. The cat was also not working correctly probably due to drinking oil for months so I fitted a used O34 HFC with a lambda spacer at the same time.
The car is running much better now...
How much was your valve cover? Something I’ve been looking at too but can only see pattern versions and would prefer a genuine one.
I’ve resealed the vacuum pump so that’s done.
Do you run a catch can? I’m not too keen on the idea due to hoses all over the place plus the mrs hardly checks her...
The only reason I want to try it is that you see people having success with Chinese turbos on other platforms and I’d try them on my own car but it’s an engine out to change the turbos so not worth the risk. The b7 seems far far easier to change so less effort to revert back if needed.
I’ve...
I’m just back from being a week away up north and on the road up the girlfriends BUL engined a4 somehow drank almost a litre of oil in less than 200 miles whilst smoking whiteish smoke out the tailpipes. Great start to the holiday! Funnily enough on the drive home it never used a drop of oil...
I've got a full turbo back Milltek from a mk4 golf on my 8l so yes it'll fit, part numbers are the same.
I guess the tune is to do with the decat as you say. My car is a single lambda so no mil light comes on, yours will have two so you'll get a mil light.
Well it turned out to be a surprise and it does have a sunroof and aircon.
The car was sold having low oil pressure and when I went to pick it up there was no oil on the dipstick lol. Got the car recovered and cleared the pick up pipe today, still got a slight rattle/roughness from the timing...
Thanks Andrew, from the pics it looks like it might have both but hard to say.
Sounds daft buying a car without seeing it I guess but it's pretty cheap so worth the risk.
Hi, I'm picking up another A3 1.8t tomorrow. It's an R reg so and Agu with the analogue clock in the rev counter.
What I am wondering is due to it having an electric sunroof will it definitely not have air con and the climate control that my current car has or is it possible to have both?
Cheers
I realise this has probably been asked loads but I've been googling and searching on here and can't find a definitive answer to my question.
I've been offered a set of lcr brembos that need a rebuild but I'm wondering what I need to fit them. Obviously the calipers, carriers, discs and pads...
I've had a look online and can't really see any info on this but my original concert radio is getting really bad with the volume not working as it should.
My mate had a b6 s4 and I always liked his stereo so was wondering if I could for the same type of stereo into my 8l? Also would I be able...
Yeah it can't be worse than a blowing standard one. I did buy an aftermarket standard one first but took it back when I saw how restrictive it is and that I could get a bigger diameter one with no cat for less money. I was going to gut the cat anyway.
Well it's quite a bit bigger than the standard pipe, especially just after the turbo flange. Yeah the gasket is garbage.
Was bought in a bit of a rush due to my standard pipe starting to blow.
Not sure how to edit the last post on my phone but this is the same downpipe.
