Sorry not meant to be harsh, I have no wish to try and put your company down. I have used you many times over what must be the last 10yrs and never had any problem with your service. Hence why you were my first port of call.
However I did use your 'Live chat' question service 3 times to try and...
Yeah the internal diameter of the OEM pipe is of course the right size, it's just such an a*se to measure as it's soft convoluted rubber. Using my vernier it measures 56-58mm diameter with the hose clip off. What threw me was the fact that when searching the web I keep seeing refs to 51mm...
I've been searching for quite some while, trying to find what size silicone coupler I need to come of the turbo for my CAI. I think it's 51mm off the turbo?
But measuring the oem pipe that came off it seems larger? Anyone any idea.
Just phoned my local VW dealer and they recognized the part no. £60.79 inc VAT with them. Thanks for your help guys looks like FR&R are the men, will just have to wait for delivery.
I was under the impression the piston valve operates better under raised pressures. Being that by design it is the more 'engineered' solution. I've checked my Rev G and it's not split, yet. But as I said I'm soon to remap.
Just figured from all the posts I've read the diaphragm valve is worth...
Where do you buy a Rev D recirculating valve from?
I phoned Audi and they said the only part that exists on their system is the Rev G (which I already have - 58plate S3).
I then looked on Awesome's site and they have 2 Rev D's. A pieburg one and an VW/Audi oem one. Anyone know the difference...
Have found that is the correct part no. above for anyone who wants to know.
Also found that if your oil filler cap isn't done up correctly - 1/4 turn instead of 1/2 turn it will provide these symptoms. Thank god for Audi-sport.net would have been an embarrasing garage visit. lol
Anyone know the PCV part no.?
Just tried to order one from Audi but the guy was as much use as a handbrake in a canoe, so i'm not sure he's got me the right bit coming. 06F129101N is what i've got coming?
BTW my car is a Oct '08 S3
Cheers - I thought it might be a little trickier than that, but if that's the case I might just give it a go myself the best part of £200 seems a bit steep when times are hard :beerchug:
Got those prices from Euro Car parts - look on their website or give them a call - these worried me due...
Anyone fitted the cheap wishbones to an S3? Pressed Steel instead of forged alloy as far as i know. They are £40 instead of £130 respectively!!
I think i'm just going to get new bushes pressed into the original arms - local independant wants £170 for the pleasure.
I was just going to replace with standard bushes from the Stealers?
Just really wanted to know Torques for nuts and bolts to be removed and if there was any specific procedure to enable a smooth(er) process !!
Does anyone know where I might find a DIY guide for replacing the wishbone bushes?
I've had a good search but can't seem to find anything....
I know several people on here have done it (the old bush in the freezer trick etc.)
That's exactly what i've always experienced with the cloth catching on the dash - i'll definitely try out a microfibre cloth - Cheers Bowfer
Mattfinn Username is my nickname from school - derived from my surname, but i know what ya mean. :eyebrows:
Interesting what you guys say about autoglym -...
Hopefully over the bank holiday i'll be going to town on my brilliant black S3 after the long hard winter. Please can someone more educated than me tell me if it's wise to do what i'm going to. I've done alot of reading and just want to clarify my chosen products are mixable!
1-Wash with...
Cheers for that, can you remove the bulbs with the black plastic covers just pushed back until they hit either the washer bottle or battery (dependant on side) then?
Think i might have been concentrating a bit too hard on trying to get them out of the equation when maybe i don't need too.
Oh joy, looks like even attempting this is a no-go in the dark! Will have to be a cyclops until the weekend - I need to get both off so i can try swapping the bulbs to diagnose......! :Flush:
