I own manual, s-tronic and multitronic. The multi tronic is great at what it does. I have it in my daily A6 load lugger that cruises the motorway and it's the best suited for that.
Sure if you have any thoughts about sporty driving it is dumb and feels horrible - but why would you in a 200bhp...
For me it's always black or silver unless you're in an obvious sports car like a Lamborghini, Ferrari etc.
I think Audi's new trend of sticking red calipers on RS models cheapens them to be honest.

I too have and will always spec it. Great feature and the memory seats and mirrors are excellent on a shared car. Not as good as our BMW that does climate, nav, drive dynamics and radio too though!

Each to their own and all that. I had stronic in an RS4 and a 184ps A3 and it was terrible in the A3 and awesome in the RS.
I now have the same CR engine as you in an A6 with the CVT and love crusing around in that in D much more than the a3.

ZF make the tiptronic, Graziano Oerlikon make the s-tronics. Personally I'd never have a s-tronic in a diesel. They are never programmed right and are designed for revvy petrols. You just find it revving out where there is no torque when you use the kickdown.

So I have a few driving weekends booked up this summer and it would be nice to hear the V8 roar with the windows down without all the buffeting.
I've never used wind deflectors and don't know anyone with them to hear and before and after.
What are your experiences? If they make a difference...
