Intercoolers are Fitted

and it wasn't a straight fitment we had to cut some bit here and there and also the clips didn’t fitted on some place as my old intercooler so we had to support the intercoolers by bumper but the pipes works was ok few twist here and there but nothing big what problem I have now is that there is boost leakage I get sometime 15 psi and sometimes only 10 psi

once I even get 19 psi so I don’t know if its from the pipes or from the driver side intercooler as I am getting a kid of jet sound from the driver side intercooler

when the engine is in higher boost.

Any ideas guys what it could be maybe intercooler leakage? and the car dosen't run right at the moment because of the boost leakage.

Here's the answer you knew you'd get... you need to do a pressure test!

There's no other way of identifying where the leak is coming from.

If you get a pressure tester on it, pressurise the system, use your ear to find roughly where the leak is coming from, then try spraying on soapy water (fairy liquid is perfect) to help find the exact source of the leak.

Hopefully it's just a loose hose and not a problem with the intercooler itself.

I don't have the pressure tester :( but I try to find a garage near london that have pressure tester so that they can pressure test the pipes and see where it leaks as far as the intercoolers I just talked to the seller and he said before he send the intercoolers to me he did pressure tested them and he said there was no leaking on the intercoolers lets hope he tells the truth :icon_thumright:

bean can, srew in schrader fitting and a foot pump. old squeezy bottle with a weak solution.
google it or search on vortex.
bean can (or whatever size fits) goes in intake hose, pump, listen and spray

them rubber bungs used in wine making bottles/demijohns with a schrader valve(removed from a bike innertube) fitted in the hole where the airlock thing goes works a treat on smaller outlets, not sure if the rs4 intercooler outlets are too big but cheap idea if they do fit. i have used it on other things

Cheapskates LOL!!! :undwech:

I know a place in Romford you can go for a pressure test if you're local.

Leakeage found and fixed :) it was the downpipe hose where it connected to turbo and now the car put 18.5 psi as it use to do :) but I still want to pressure test the car to see if there is any other leakeage in case if there is :)

18.5 psi! My K04's only go up to 19.

Glad you've got it sorted. Any idea how that hose had come loose? You shouldn't have needed to touch that when fitting new intercoolers.

Just double checked it and and to be close its 18 Psi and confirmed by MRC 1.3 Bar :) on my gauge it should 18 psi or could be 18.5 psi.

The pipe was loose because of a clip that was used and it wasn't locked properly :( so we fitted new clip and everything is fine now :) the jet sound gone and car boosts fine.
