Hi All...

Thinking about buying a used A4 1.8 T Sport Quattro, and was wondering what sort of MPG i should expect from it?
cheers.

1 tankful (60 litres) normally lasts me 250-275 miles = 18-20mpg = £££££. Still love the car though, the MPG is the only part I don't like about it. I had an Audi 1.9 TDi before that, same driving style, would get 35-40mpg = 500 miles to 60 litre tank, Lexus IS200 2.0 straight six before the tdi, that would manage about 330 miles to 60 litres, the same as the Volvo V40 1.8 before that.

prior to my S4 I had a Golf GTi PD 150. The torque was fantastic, as was the fuel consumption. Moving to the S4 has hit me in the pocket something rotten! Still, it does bring a smile to my face.

What MPG do you get in the 4, mate?

around 20 or so, but I drive like a clown. I have been accused of having a digital throttle. On or off. I am getting around 250 miles out of my tank and do about 450-500 miles back and fore to work, plus personal miles on top. Three tanks full, at UK prices, per week is a shocker.

i get about 240-270 town driving. Change up to 6th gear asap and that helps squeeze an extra few miles out of the tank but its no fun. Fun driving gets 230 - 240 miles of a full tank and thats with a right foot that the hulk would be proud of.

This is after stage 1 remap as well

SonicDeathMonkey, what colour car have you got?

i have a silver A3 quattro RSTT alloys (27-32 ave,by the way!),and i live in Baglan,but work in Swansea,so i may spot you?
