Electric window , odd fault, closes then opens half way

Electric window , odd fault, one click opens -ok- one click closes then opens half way
Can close by holding switch , then stays closed
Idea's ? not sticking or jamming .. fully opens and stays open, closes fully , 2 seconds then opens half way

just for some reason, wants to be half open -(

I believe they have a roll back safety system built in to stop the windows from closing on what ever may be in the way sounds like that may be what's causing the issue.

problem is , its fully closed ..then opens ..the window regulator was new audi part a few months back
this is odd as ive exercised the window , full up full down a few times ..

O.k sorry I misunderstood initially so randomly opens from fully closed position to half way same position every time?

yup- closed fully , count 123 , then it drops to the same place , can hold the switch /up/ then it stays closed
guides and top frame are new few months back as the old frame had a ridge that stopped the window closing
just started to day
 
Not yet - the window is supposed to set once its been fully open and closed
its a hot day , so is another electrical problem linked to heat , like the door closed
switch ...

not checked that , ill have a closer look , nothing obvious
in the past the door lock 'closed switch' use to fail in the heat
 
.went round the slot where the glass runs , nothing showing- tried with door open , worked manually and now, door closed working as normal ..
 
and continues to work normally .. Was there reason for testing with the door open ?
or just luck it stared working ...

I don't think it ran to close on the first attempt, but for now , its staying closed , slight moment of tension, waiting for something to happen .. before making a run for it -)
