never realised how similar they actually are . I was at the traffic lights the other day and a blue Peugeot 3008 pulled up at the side of me the colour was very close to Ara blue to the point my wife said its the same colour .
And black
Now I’m sure ive seen 1 or 2 other manufacturers cars In the colour I want

mythos does look stunning but it’s just the upkeep of black that puts me off ... I had a panther black TTS 10 years ago and it was soul destroying trying to keep it clean.
I had a black Polo GTI (appreciate not in same league as TTS) and that was a pain to keep clean and vowed not to have another black car after that.
Only ever have black
Upkeep is easy once the ceramic is on
Either don’t wash it at all …..the van
Wash It and garage it and don’t take it in the rain…..a7

I know mate, it is soul destroying as looks dirty 5 mins after washing it feels
Always ceramic’d mine too, so makes washing easy, but wash needed often, and no garage here! Garage makes massive difference

Whilst we are on the Topic of colours l just seen a Golf R in Miami Vice blue..."respray" it looked absolutely stunning with the contrasting black addenda and panoramic roof l was speaking to the owner he told me he got re - painted definitely suit a RS3
Budget will never stretch to 1 or I would in a heartbeat
And if I did the wife may stop my heart beating

I am going look into a private lease from Audi via Jordan friends and family thing then sell my TTS whilst residuals are still high l hate turbo blue...colour is everything to me

Fair enough mate, a lovely car, but if you just don’t gel or like the colour, move on…done this a few times in my time. Should get a cracking deal via friends and family. Remember a mate of mine got offered a S3 SB @ £229 p/m or something like that, and change quite often, but he didn’t go for it

You sure it doesn't feel faster than your S3 because it's probably lighter and closer to the ground than the S3?
No way faster it just wants to go for it...at any opportunity when in Dynamic mode av had 6 years ownership of S3's so l should know the difference they had 300 ps,310 ps this has 320ps Audi are telling porkys about this output

I think the RS3 has more going for it than just being fast, 99% of people won't get their car any where near the limits for the duration of ownership, especially looking at those limits.
Definitely. Fantastic all round cars, and useable in all conditions and very different levels and speeds. All wheel drive M3/M4 coming will add some more competition, but cannot beat the general high residuals RS’s maintain
Being serious for a moment you cannot put the new M3/M4 in the same category as an 8y RS3....the BMW is in a different league in every way l think the interior is absolutely stunning in the M3/M4
The Stigma attached to the 8Ys interior will transfer to the RS3 this seemingly hasn't been been mentioned at all on any of these euphoria filled RS3 8Y threads l had to mention but it's a factor

I do agree with your @jassyo06 that the interior of the G series M3/M4 is stunning, and the cars that they are pitched at (RS4 & RS5) are nowhere near it nowadays. Both the M3 saloon and upcoming M3 touring are cars I’ll be taking extremely seriously in a few years.
Yes, I suppose given the M’s are £70k+ and some. More relevant will be the next M2

I’d also pick an RS4 over the Bimmer as yes that is more the direct competition.

I had a black R8 V8...............absolutely stunning on a Sunday Morning after a wash and polish to remove/hide any swirl marks, but by mid afternoon even without driving it the car needed 'doing' again
I swapped for an R8 V10 in white, that never showed any marks,Black is also a PITA for stone chips due to the whitish primer Audi use

I was very lucky to be at an Audi press event a few weeks ago. I made videos on the RS6 (which was cool but didn’t do it for me), Q4 etron (which was a tech masterpiece), R8 spider (which really is mostly wind noise with pops and bangs lol) and the etron GT which was gave me whiplash… and it’s not even the faster version!
But despite all these cars there is something about the 5-cylinder sound. The R8 obviously took it to the next level but I can’t afford an R8.

I Am being critical of the 8y RS3 and rightly so given the previous models...at least l am honest mate.... no RS3 rose tinted glasses for me...you had the same attitude when ye got the Merc.....now it comes across as ye want shot of it as soon as
Forget Covid Residuals.....things should go back to normal....very soon....You sold yer last RS3 low mileage at the right time
what was it new £42k then a discount.... ?? Go do that again with yer £65K plus 8Y no discount.... not gonna happenl may get one if it blows my TTS out of the water for driving and performance but l doubt there wont be much in it...same as there wont be much in it between the GR8 and the 8Y RS3......Hence l resort back to my statement that it's all about the RS3 image/Badge for buyers just the same for folks that buy a Porsche it's a personal statement when they could have an RS Audi.....final word lol £10,000 for an extra 80ps is a lot now considering how choked up the 8y opf RS3 will be.....I look forward to finding out the extent of this opf

the Merc is a great car ... it’s just the lack of noise !!!!!
plus I’d had my RS3 four years and with no new RS3 in sight at that time the Merc was a great choice and I’ve certainly enjoyed it.
But it lacks a an all important 5th cylinder
the RS3 WILL sound better 100% - maybe not pre~fl level - but it will sound miles better and believe it it not that is a BIG thing for me.
Not about the badge or image in the slightest, not sure why you think that ?
Having had both, I’m glad I’ve dipped my toe in the Merc water, but the RS3 just appeals to me more.
