Following all the tips and encouragement of the forum today I retrofitted the cruise control and upgraded to A5 leather seat that are a world apart in comfort without braking a single piece of plastic!

Went for a spin, no light in the dash no errors all working! Yeepee

The seats are heated but I am a bit put off about dismantling the interior for wiring a loom but maybe once rested... We'll see.

Nice job,rewarding when doing stuff for yourself. Get yourself a secondhand hvac unit and the looms from Kufatec and the heating seats will be working in no time, that’s an easier retrofit than doing your cc. You’ll just need to code them in once the physical part is done.

Good to see others ripping their car apart. Have to let me know if the heated A5 element works with the a3 hvac. I’ve just torn my spare A5 seat apart to fit the electric lumbar adjust to my spare a3 seats. Luckily it fits

Does the Kufatec work connecting the A5 seats (green plug - pic attached) to the a3 HVAC unit?

That's something I never thought of, when I did mine, I went with S3 seats. The person you need to speak to would be Ash187. He runs Audi retrofitters and am positive he'd be able to answer your question.
