Hi Brad, what would be the purpose of you wanting one of these? I’m only asking because I’m currently looking for a good half cage set up, ideally bolt in.

Half cage would give you more support, strength and for running proper harnesses with bucket seats.

I’ve just bought the car in March been doing maintenance repairs as apposed to spending a bucket full of cash on stage 2 gear without servicing it
Just bought some second hand corbeau club sports in decent nick the car will be used as a casual track car for the summer just spending money on it here n there

It seems our car gets pushed aside for bolt in parts as such perhaps I should pay for a half cage but I don’t really wanna be chucking tons of dough at it if it’s casual track days

Same reason as me if I want to sell it for something else it’s gunna be agg with something fully welded in or will take a while to sell to someone looking for something like that although I love this car and think will have it for some time and would love to one day have a car made by badger they make some serious machines, your car sounds like a weapon got any pics spec ?

Check out my build thread mate, it’s all in there what I’ve done and had done. Fully Badger5 built. it goes well, but like all things you want more haha. So it’ll evolve over time.

I’ll take a look I’m very jealous that’s a car for life even just to have the badger 5 badge on the engine it’s worth the thousands

Yeah I don’t intend to sell it not unless I have to. Think I’d rather be homeless before selling it haha. Highly recommended getting your work done by them though. The engine has run faultless and I’ve put on around 8500+ miles since the build.

Just bought one of these, see what it’s like.

Made to be bolted in, but obviously can be welded in.

I’ve ordered it without being powdercoated as I want my powdercoater guys to do it for me to match everything else in the car.

Yeah I’ll put it on my build thread mate. Take pictures of it before, after powdercoat and the fitting process. It comes with a “fitting” kit. I’m assuming bolts and backing plates for under the car, etc.

Interested to see how it fits and what it looks like, good find.

So the half cage has turned up. Welds look good and tight. Obviously I opted to not have it powdercoated because I’m getting it done by my guys to get it all matching.

Comes with a fitting kit, which is 4x spreader plates, nuts and bolts.

I will get it test fitted then powdercoated. Looks pretty good so far!

Also for anyone else wanting to go ahead and buy it before I get it all fitted. Depending on weather you want it powdercoated or not. I offered £245 plus £55 shipping not powdercoated and the guys accepted it. It’ll cost me around £120 to get it powdercoated to my colour. £420 all in isn’t to bad. Fitting it should be a doddle..... but will post my findings in the coming weeks.

Thats more than what I paid for my A3! Looking forward to installed pics and report on how it improves handling.

a guy has them on face book for the 8l and is doing a group buy at £100 painted you have to trim the plastic panel for the top mounting points though

I’m just not keen on cutting the panels I wonder how much of a different it actually makes

I actually asked these guys a few weeks back which is why I’m guessing they made one for our car I’m the same as you tj I’m using mine for track mainly and a run about I don’t really know where I wanna go with it the carpets are still in and door cards but I just have 2 bucket seats, roof lining also sagging if I’m going the whole shebang then I might aswell get a proper cage eventually

Not too keen on cutting panels until I know where I wanna go with it

No me to but from what I can see it looks neat fit, I have ordered one as mine will be fast road with the very odd trackday and I think il source some spare panels for it I ever take it out

Tbh I think I’ll end up ripping it all out anyway I’ll see how amj’s turns out

This will be a little while before I show how it all fits etc mate. I’ve got a few other things I need to do first. Sorry for the delay.

Yeah I thought so now you’ve got that other project on your hands, mines gunna be a while anyway still doing things slowly. went out in a 300bhp s3 last night and although it was quick off the start I didn’t feel that excited now I know why you wanna go Big Bang

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You would quickly get used to 300bhp. I remember when I went out in my friends RX7 a few years ago. 320bhp I was bricking it the first couple of pulls, then it was a bit samey.... mine currently just shy of 400bhp pulls well and fun to drive because of the K04-380 hybrid, instant power. I’m all about that borderline scared to death sensation haha

Your set ups perfect for track then, my brothers the same absolute looney me on the other hand can’t be a passenger hahaha I know what you mean about getting used to it though
