I am retrofitting the ADS switch. Facelift button which has an 8 pin connector. My car probably had the old style ADS switch with 3 pin connector at 2010 but I'm trying this newer button. Maybe that's my issue first off. Can facelift button work on non facelift?
I used the various YouTube and threads to know that usually pin 7 goes to pin 16 of the 32 pin connector under the steering wheel but it's not working for me yet. I have power and it lights up.
I used pins from my other switch for parking sensors and ESP for power and ground (see pins used in photos).
Does anyone know the wiring if you have to start fresh with no other buttons on the ADS panel?
I tried the old style button wiring too which I believe is pin 3 to pin 4 of the 16 pin beige connector. Still no luck. Tried using my pin 7 to that pin 4 as well just in case but nothing.
ADS working fine in my MMI 3g. I have the charisma error in central electrics saying no signal so it's obviously not seeing it yet.
Any wire diagrams or info appreciated
