it cuts in and out with sound, slightly anooying, after a while its fine, but jesus its annoying.

any one else has or had these issues, its intermittent, but need to get it sorted, it started about a week or so ago.

Check your earth connections may be loose maybe battery terminal not on properly and something came loose when you done what ever you did to your grill if related if not maybe wiring behind the rnse but obviously check every with easy access first before you jump into the deep end

will do, was starting before i got the work done though. do you know where the earth is.?

its only the head unit surly there would be more electrics going down if it was a bad earth or a battery terminal?

No clue never pulled my head unit out but if you go power and it keep coming and going it must be power related as that sound like a cable is loose and making contact with vibration when driving or on movement

you might find which i did in my S3 someone had loads off small earths coming from 1 large earth and it wasn't making the connection correctly on the rnse . So as other member said check wiring failing that fet someone to autoscan your car for faults , check out the vcds map on site and pm a member who stays close as they usually do it for some Ale tokens

Change the fuses for starters, even though it may seem ok on a meter they can play up.
Rear number plate bulbs are festoons, just undo the two small screws of the lens and measure the length.

update:

just got a carly od scannber, shows fault in the ignition switch.... i presume that's in the ignition barrel????
