Later this year, as my S3 saloon nears its sixth birthday, I'm considering trading up to a new RS3 saloon.
I've been wondering if anyone might know how the depreciation of the S3 and the RS3 compare, i.e. would a new RS3 hold its price better than another new S3 over, say, a five to six year period?
My current car is a manual and is well loaded with extras. I'm aware that the RS3 is only available as an automatic, but I guess I'd just have to learn how to drive it, what with the stop/start and hill start assist facilities, etc. (Frankly I don't know how an auto works in practice, e.g. What's to stop it creeping forward if you take your foot off the brake pedal? That's just one thought that came to mind the other day!)
