Hi everyone, I’m having a massive headache with coding my S3’s cruise control, I fitted everything correctly and coded it into the steering module fine, however when coding to the engine it rejects the coding! Two people have looked at it and both of them can’t give me an answer. Has anyone ever come across this issue? Car has MFSW and highline module if this helps

You need to mention the year of manufacturing. Also what version of the stalk and what’s the part no of the CEM?

How are you coding the engine?

Long coding, going to second to last two digits, selecting cruise enabled, then clicking “do it” when I do it it comes up “coding rejected, out of range”

That’s not how its coded, I’m out at the moment but will check later, there’s a thread on here on how it’s done properly.

Mine was coded via a drop down menu.

That’s what I’ve tried, it gives you the option via easy coding, I tick the box to change the code and it rejects it

Something isn’t being correctly.

Isn’t that stalk part number way off?

8P0 953 513 F - I think for 2010+

Hmmm... after checking I think 8P0054690B is correct

Ah.. 8P0054690B is the part number for the whole retrofit kit... I would double check the part number on the stalk itself, just in case?

That means taking it all off again lol, part was bought direct from Audi so doubt they would put the wrong one in the box

That’s pre 2010 mate, has the main beam that comes towards you to stay on whereas mine pushes away from you to stay on

Did you check you ticked the cc in the inatallion list if you have corecrly coded it , tell me all tou have in the car as i have the same year as yourself with CC, MFSW, RNSE,

It’s correctly coded into the steering module fine, it’s the engine module that’s giving me ball ache, it’s a 2010 S3 with MFSW, RNSE, white MFD, I go into long coding and tick the box that says cruise control enabled, hit do it and it says coding rejected, there is a problem somewhere but just cannot figure out what and where

mines an 11 plate, coded mine using that guide, worked fine.

Code:
Coding the egine control
1. 01-Engine
2. Security Access - 16
3. Password: 11463

Is it an S3 tho or A3? S3 uses long coding
