Nooo the tent itself is around 50kg :tearsofjoy:

Need to look into this and find out the limits of the roof bars and limits in the tent. Seems a lot for a set of roof bars especially I’m not that slim but it’s something I’m interested in taking the wee boy out in the wild. He likes his Astro photography as well so somewhere with little to no light pollution.

Scotland is an amazing place Matt. Glad it wasn’t to cold for you. :)

Like an apple in a box of pears at the Cumbria International Motorshow this weekend.

Unfortunately couldn't get any better pics as all the cars were parked close together..

Landy or lambo

Been there several times mate, love the place. Every time myself the missus and daughter go we climb Cairngorms a different route. I camp out in a brick single story tent (apparently its called a bungalow lol) in Aviemore. Going back again in August, perfect terrain for the Landy.

First time ever visiting this area! Think I'm stopping Braemar way, walking from Glenshee ski center I think giving us a good start height wise

Can t have enough lights mate!! Sure you could squeeze some small 4 inch bars somewhere in the lower s3 grilles

Serious question, how did everyone who has lightbars now, manage before lightbars were invented!

from the Cairngorms visit this weekend, battered by bad weather!

Great pic though Matt!
Should’ve come further north. We were on holiday on the Moray Coast and got sunburnt (first ever motorhome holiday) :blacksunrays::blacksunrays::blacksunrays:
i take it you never got the sun burn this weekend!?!
found it so weird how different the cairngorms are compared to the western highlands, bizarre!

stopped in braemar for the night...you ever visited The Fife Arms?? a seriously well finished place that is

Sunburnt in Findhorn and Lossiemouth last Tuesday and Wednesday mate.
That coast gets much clearer weather than much of the country generally, which is why they sited the airbases there.
Not been to fife arms.

Those observant ones might realise the roof tent isn't on the roof! It has been recalled due to something I pointed out, so new one, complete different style, on order for july-mid august, but will have much more room inside and a third of the rack freed up for storage for any long trips.
Dogs on rack insta

That vehicle is immaculate and has some serious roof mounted Led lighting, plus the hounds are just as stunning.

I thought the idea was to walk up them?
personally I'm not a believer that you must start from the valley floor, if you really want to say you've walked all the wainwrights properly you should walk only one hill at a time, no linking fells and staring from the valley floor? But I've never met another person yet who agrees with that

The record for all 214 is less than a week, I think, so I doubt the holder went up and down each time!

I'm much too far away to consider doing them myself but if I were to I'd probably use the same routes as Wainwright did when he wrote the original guides.

beats my 11 months!! and i thought that was good going!

or you can go full wainwright mode....use only public transport to get to the hills! the routes are good, you'll find there isnt actually many other, if any, routes that he doesn't explain.

Last few nights have been cleaning and blasting all the gunk out of the chassis with an airline, then wax oiling the rot box...jokes aside my chassis is pretty mint.
Then wax oil over spray got my a*se Into gear, bust out the polisher, not going for perfection, just bringing the beautiful green back.

To coat, or not to coat....always had beadmaker in mind

Beautiful colour mate! Looking mint now. Needs a nice ceramic coat to protect it.

changed my mind, just going with a paint sealant, not going for perfection and dont mind topping up after every rare wash

Beadmaker....is The Exact opposite to its name....defo not a not a Beading Monster....just a Quick Detailer that leaves a slick finish.....A lot of HYPE Surrounded this product online....Typical from the Rag Company...ie the Yanks....

Just go for a One stage ceramic....Gyeon Pure....nowhere near as much work involved mate.....Top up with Gyeon Cure
decided its not really worth the cost when the paint isnt anywhere near corrected, and and hardly swirl free, just bringing it back to life a bit, trying to avoid getting sucked into caring for the paint as I'll be honest, i dont miss it one bit :whistle2:
