just had mine done and a few things checked while it was in.

First thing I said was don’t wash the car and they didn’t. Which was great. First time a dealer actually listened to me when I say don’t clean it.
Car was clean anyway so just got them to give it a quick vac. After watching that YTS kid washing the used cars with a dirty sponge and hose I’m glad they listened.

Traction control light flickers now and again when going into roundabout and pulling out of junction. They had a look and found nothing wrong but found a tech bulletin with a software update for the Haldex so got that updated. Tech said filter was clean so not a pump problem. Will wait and see if it’s made any difference.

Service was great plenty of posh coffee/tea flowing and I even got a bacon roll for breakfast. Big :icon thumright: for the service from Perth Audi.

Car now feels a bit quieter than before and a bit more economical going home. Oil temp around 4-5 degrees lower than going there this morning even though it was a lot warmer when I left.
Im sure Audi must use some break in oil or thicker oil from the factory. All 4 Audi’s I’ve owned after the first service has better economy and generally a bit quieter.

Thought I put this up as there’s a lot of dealer slagging going on but rarely folk mention a good service. Price was about £40-50 more than a local garage but I had some warranty stuff for them to look at so saves me a trip.

YTS.....you're showing your age there old chap. ;)
I actually done a YTS back in 1983 and received the princely sum of £25 per week. :relaxed:

Come on then.....how much was your oil change?

£25 per week!! You won’t get kids out their bed for £25 per hour nowadays
Service was £210. Not too bad for dealership. Was gonna do it myself but at that age I don’t like my hands getting black and I’m too lazy. Also wanted a few things checked out under warranty so 2 birds 1 stone.

I have the virtual cockpit. It’s always been there from factory.
I think with the normal DIS you can activate it using vcds. Did that in my a6. Let me have a dog around and see if I can find the code.

Vcds I don’t have that either! Ha.

Oh well. Try the vcds map and see if any members are near you that will help for some beer tokens.

Here’s the code anyway

[17] Instruments
Go to Long Coding
Byte 10, Bit 1. Display Oil Temperature
Tick Box

Is in the Lap timer menu / display I believe. If you would like it to display within other menus then you need vcds as mentioned.
