Pretty much as the name suggests, is there a UK equivalent of the Alu Kreuz? I suppose a related question would be, how worth it is it to get? I have a B8.5 S4 and I feel like it has a bit of roll and slop in corners so would like to improve it.

Buy this:

I have this plus H&R anti roll bars and Oe sport springs. Car sits lower but handles beautifully especially with sports diff.

The above item may catch speed bumps at times tho so be warned. In my opinion it’s worth it if you enjoy spirited driving frequently and not school runs! There’s also a used one on eBay for £110 at the mo

I made mine out of 30mm box 2.5mm thick steel. Was really easy to do, about an hour start to finish and most of the time was spent measuring and making it tidy. Picture was take during test fitting, and it was finally finished off with a good coat of satin black paint. There is definitley a noticable difference in the handling with it in place.

Tempted to do the brace. I’ve seen the canyon run one, it seems a bit over priced for a price of box tubing that is anodised.

Does anyone have any idea of how effective drivetrain stabilisers are vs strut braces?

The car already has a decent brace on the transmission, however it's not as stiff as the alu Kreuz so there is a difference upgrading. However the car really doesn't have a decent brace linking the strut tops. The one on the car you can twist in your hands end to end.
Have a look at what you have and see if you can fit a tube across the top. No climbing around under the car and cheap to do.
1m of 25mm diameter aluminium 10 gauge bar is £10 delivered. Takes about an hour filing, cutting and drilling to fit it.
I actually tried modifying the existing brace on my car , Identifying the areas where it may need some more stiffening I welded in some more steel.
TBH the difference was small and subtle.

I’m sure I remember reading that the rs5 cab has an up rated brace from the factory and that it will fit an S4, I’m no good with part numbers though but I’m sure someone will be able to look it up

I looked into alternative OE solutions and the part number for the RS5 cabriolet brace is 8F0399345G.

It does have some extra bracing and also mounting points for more bracing straps but essentially it's a very similar design to the one fitted as standard.
The parts that looked to be changed on the RS5 item are where I added extra bits as well as other parts where I thought a bit stiffness could be added.

Cheers for all the info guys, based on what @desertstorm is saying about the difference being subtle I might put it lower down in my list, if at all. I'm not yet totally sure if the best bang for your buck mods to get, but it seems the Alu Kreuz (or alternative) isn't high up on the list.

Just looking at these myself and am surprised by the dismissive comments given the stellar reviews on audizine.

Am I right in thinking there’s simply no rhd version available? The lhd piece looks symmetrical so why doesn’t it fit the rhd car?

Old thread I know, but a RHD version is on the market from 034motorsport
