Looking for two new fronts for my Saloon. 235/35/R19s. It was shipped with Contis but just changing the fronts as the back are fine. Any recommendations? And also where to buy from, looked at blackcircles so any discount codes be appreciated too.

There's about 10+ forum posts on this very topic already
Main recommendations are Michelin pilot sport 4S, P zeroes, Goodyear Asymetrics.

Audi will price match black circles fitted price and then you can have them fitted by them and not worry about a random tyre place and your alloys will also only fit the correct AO AO1 AO2 etc spec

I'm going to be trying the Michelin PS4S in a few months time. Heard very good things about them, fingers crossed they are as good as they are made out to be.

They are! My mate has them on the back of his C63 AMG, before his continentals would let him drift round corners, the Michelin's don't. Or at least it is a lot harder to do now!

That's very interesting. Do you have personal experience of this? I thought the Audi Price Match excluded on-line tyre suppliers.

A Durex has more durability than Michelin PS4S

Haha I figure they can't be much worse than these Pzero's!
Oh but they are mate... our Fiesta ST line 1-0 litre ecoboost baring in mind it's a light car has done only 13k miles and there down to 2mm at front and rears ain't that far behind.....that's from the factory fitted tyres which normally last a bit longer than renewal tyres do

I’ve gone with Michelin PS4’s that are getting fitted on Friday, there’s £100 cashback if you buy from selected retailers (2 or more tyres) and before any discount they were £137 each which is cheaper than PZero’s, they seem to get a better write up too

So all in looking at £448 all fitted, much cheaper than Audi who were quoting me £816 for Continentals :tearsofjoy:

Had PS4's... great tyre, very grippy but wear rate is quite high I found. Also, not the quietest tyre in the world. I'd have them again, but a little expensive.

I've got Goodyear Eagle F1 Asy 3 at the moment. Not as grippy as the PS4, which I actually quite like because the car is more playful, but noise is reduced and wear rate is impressive. I had them on my Focus ST and was always impressed with them. They also perform well in the wet.

Eagle F1’s very good all round tyre - performance vs. Wear

Cracking tyre the p-zero, wear similar to mp4’s. Have them on wife’s JCW, and with 5k miles done, fronts still plenty of tread

My P zeroes had done about 18k miles and still had 4.6mm left on them before unsold the S3. Pretty good. These were on the front

Contis on the back had done the full 23k miles and were on about 2.8mm iirc

I've just had a set of Michelin PS4s fitted to my car after 23,000 miles on Continental 's which came with the car. Delighted and took advantage of the £100 cash back from Michelin. The tyres are no noisier than the Conti's.

I think the PS4's are a softer compound, which aids them in terms of grip as they heat up quicker. i.e. become quite sticky. The P Zeros and Eagle F1's are much harder, which probably explains why they're better at not wearing out so quickly. The tread pattern on the Goodyears is great at dispersing standing water on the motorway, S3 is rock solid when the PS4's started to twitch a bit.

If you are one of those rare people who change to winter tyres in the colder months, then PS4 is defo the better tyre to have. But if you want all weather and year round fun, Eagle F1 all the way. Not saying the PS4 isn't good in the wet, it's right up there and is an all season tyre... but you do notice the difference.

Different dealerships do different things.
Stirling Audi have always price marched for me (against the likes of Kwikfit), but when I tried Perth Audi they refused which promptly lost them around £1k of business, a bit short sighted.
Ignore what the Audi UK website says, they don’t all abide by it.
For what it’s worth, I was alway a Michelin Man (don’t!) but I replaced my front two original P Zero a couple of weeks ago after 23,500 miles. The back two are still going strong at 24,500. I like their rim protectors.

My dealer would not price match Halfords that was about 400 yards from them .
In the end went with the cracking deal with ATS and PS4 that ends this month . 225 40 18 £330 plus a free amazon fire pad ( handy as just broke iPad screen) for four tyres fitted.
