Hi, I need to buy some oil to top up my 252PS 2.0 TFSi engine and am unsure as to which oil to use. I wonder if some knowledgeable member could advise please.

Thanks for reading.

I use Castrol Edge Titanium 5w-30 LL FST Fully Synthetic. Opie Oils have a 15% off promotion at the moment.

Check your manual as it may meet a certain specification.

When I put my car registration into their system it confirmed that the correct oil was the one you mentioned. I ordered a couple of 1 litre bottles, thank you.

I put my brain into gear and searched for your username on the xeforums and, lo and behold, there you were. Are you still active on there? I occasionally have a wee look in as I was a member for three years and got to "know" a few of the members. It, like this, was/is a pretty helpful forum.

I recognised your avatar from the XE forum. I’m no longer active there, but like you I occasionally drop in for a quick look.

Yeah, I suppose the Rotary logo I use as my avatar is quite standout, isn't it. How long have you been an Audi Owner? This is my third A4, the first a 2 litre petrol company car, the next a 2.o TDi and now my current 2.0 TFSi. I had the XE for 3 years and then decided I wanted another A4. You'll probably gather I do like them.

On my third A4 as well, first one was a company car back in 2001. The XE was also a company car, but I had to give back after a year because I took early retirement in 2016. My, current A4 I’ve had since November 2016.

The first A4 was the only company car amongst all the ones in the list previously mentioned. I had always aspired to a Jaguar and, when the XE was launched, I had to go for it. I liked it but, when the time came to change, I had to go back to an A4 and I'm glad I did.
