Hi All,

I'm not really new to the forum, I've been around a bit but I don't think I have ever posted before, I had an A5 Sport Quattro about 4 years ago which I turned in to an S-Line, plenty of coding bits and bobs (unfortunately I don't have my cable any more) really enjoyed the car. But due to buying a house it had to go, after that, I haven't had an Audi until now! but I'm back with an Audi, with a little 58 plate A3 (8P) Sportback Sport, lovely little car and pretty well specced..I've a few plans for it, nothing major since its my daily, most of my plans are inside the car, it has full leather (none headed) but the rear is really saggy and well the fronts as clean as they are are just lacking in support behind my knee and it's killing my leg, so, I am looking to retrofit different heated seats (but ill post elsewhere) the rest of it is mainly tidying up and retrofitting a few bits and bobs, so i am hoping to pick a lot of brains

PS i am a huge fan of ASH's work with retro fits, his posts were extremely useful when i was working on my A5 and i have seen he has been very active with his own A3 over the years

Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris, welcome to audi-sport.net. Car looks really nice. Hope you enjoy the forum.

Thanks Sandra, yeah its is a very clean car, the forum has already been invaluable, i will soon be annoying a lot of people with lots of questions lol

Hi Ash,

dont you worry i have been going through your blogg with a fine tooth comb, sooooooo much great information on there and excellent work, that goes without saying, and always high quality :thumbs up: and your car certainly is my inspiration, but i wont be doing everything you have done but the interior looks stuning mate and exactly what i would like, but it looks as though a lot of pound notes went in to it:fearscream: which i i wont be doing with being such an old car and i have paid quite the premium for it! is there any good places for detailed tutorials, for example wiring and coding details? i can fully understand why you dont give too much away with it being your business

It depends what your wanting to do on the car.
I would recommend the US centre console as it’s a massive change to the interior and is so useful.

I don't want to go to mad, its not worth putting too much money in to it, but seats are absolut must, front and rear, heat would be nice, there are a few VCDS tweaks I would like to do but nothing major, and maybe a few more inside retrofits but not sure which ones, and try and make it not so plastic inside! I'm a nightmare for playing with the thing! the outside is fine, it ordered an S-Line spoiler and will have the rear windows tinted at the end of the month, other than that I'm happy with how it is other than tidying up (well that said I have been looking at S-Line rear diffusers and front grills, folding mirrors but I don't want to do too much for insurance purposes)

its funny you should mention that about the centre console, I was looking at that thread last night, there is some great information on there, quite a brave challenge taking a Dremel to a brand new piece of interior but the end result looks so much better!! the lack of storage in the A3 is a bit of a pain! and that armrest catching the handbrake is quite annoying, I may look at nipping that up a bit so it doesn't come a high. but I would mind having a go at it, I already have the Aux port, but it would be sourcing all the other parts

I have started a thread for about seat retrofits

Notice how i said i dont want to go mad then list everything haha!! i started off well, but then headed down the slippery slope
