Hello!

I want to upgrade to bigger OEM brakes (rotors) on my A4 B7 Quattro 1.8t -2007.
I wanna keep using my OEM 17" rims.

I need some help with which parts I need, parts numbers and so on.

What I could find on the web is five different sizes of rotors for the B7 platform.

280, 288, 312, 320, 345.

345 are for the S4.
312/320 are from A4 3.2 and 2.0 tfsi (220hp) ?

What caliper carriers and brake lines do I need?
Do I also need to swap the calipers?
Different brake pads?

What Audi models can I source the parts from?

A lot of questions, hope someone can help me.

Agh, i am in the same boat as you, i want to upgrade my b6 brakes , am currently running 18" s line wheels.

I don't have enough knowledge yet on the Audi's brake sizes yet but I have the 320mm on my b7 a4 sline special editon so say for example you wanted that size brake disc if you have the same make and model I don't see why you couldn't just buy the discs, calipers and carriers and it should be a bolt on job, down the line just remember to buy brake pads for the calipers from the car you brought them from, if I was you I would look out for a car breaking and have the whole lot of that car, your problem will be finding that car with brakes that big that haven't already been taken lol.

from my small amount of experience in the audi a4 I think the brakes are great im sure there only single piston (I could be wrong) but I think there brilliant, coming from a Mercedes with big 4 pot brembos I think the audi is slightly better so id recommended the 320 set up on the special edition if you can source them :)

My old set of 320's are for sale in the classified , not me selling but another member on the forum., great brakes but I went to something more epic.:icon thumright:

Got a full s4 front brake setup for sale, calipers, carriers, dust sheilds, boyh old and new style retaining clips and new slider dust sheilds if there any good?

You just need a set of s4 discs and pads.

If interested, I'm selling my almost brand new 356mm 8-piston kit!

It's been a while chap, what's the price now as i'm allways in the market for some more bits, just at the right price.

I got 312mm rotors on the car right now.
Not much clearance between my 16" winter rims and caliper.
So 320mm rotors do not work with 16" rims.
With my 17" summer rims it is not a problem.

Both my winter and summer rims are OEM Audi.

I upgraded the oem 320mm setup on my old bus to the 345mm S4 brakes. I must say, I absolutely love the feel now, but this is probably down to the fact that I did the brake lines and flushed the whole system too with new 5.1 brake fluid.

I have the 320 setup for sale, Calipers, Carriers and lines. Would be happy to sell these.

Here is my brake project...
