Yes it is, IMO the best dealer north of the border, always great service and the customer care doesn't disappear aftersale like many dealerships.
Yup. Totally agree. Used most in the central belt now and find Perth the better one to use.

I used Perth last time around for servicing mine and the wifes car. As they're slightly out of the town centre, they give you a voucher for the taxi in and out of town - a nice touch. In my experience, Stirling are equally as good though.

I will be the odd one out here in using Dundee Audi for my first service....partly because its slightly closer but mainly because it will be a free service. :)
When originally enquiring about buying my S3 I visited both Dundee and Perth on the same day, but despite having the car in stock Perth could not get close to what Dundee were offering, so it was an easy decision for me.
I am hoping my servicing experience will be equally as good.....although this is always a nervous time for me in general.

I was the opposite. Couldn’t get Dundee close to the figure that Perth was offering. Don’t get me wrong both very competitive and Dundee did try in the end it was just under £1k difference.
It’s all about timing and targets so I must have caught perth at a good time.
Not used Dundee for a service so it will be good to see what you think.

Have been wondering when you were picking it up. Great colour choice by the way!
Love the colour but,,
No Audi beam :rage:but they have ordered some for me, not standard anymore. Noticed a £100 cost but no option against it:rage:, apparently it is for the spare wheel as this is not standard even with Audi the sound system anymore, but promptly refunded.

But the biggish issue I had was the lack of privacy glass (£375 back to me) and wait for it,,,,,, drum role,,,,,,,, no SS seats:rage::rage:.
After a very long chat and obviously some very red faces etc. Offered me an Audi driving day and detailing the car at a place of my choice. I pondered for 1/2hr on whether I should accept it but in the end I did.
So overall a mix bag of emotions today but I couldn't be ***** re-ordering and going through the long wait again.

Yes mate, refunded seats and glass. I already had the servicing threw in prior to turning up today. Apparently there were a couple of Daytona S3 in the pot and mine was mixed up. I did state in the most sarcastic tone I could "it doesn't take a genius to work that out".

Oh man that sucks. Is that beam on all four doors!? Yeah I heard that space savers have been dropped due to wltp.

If you took out PCP then you need any interest refunded back too remember!

Can they not arrange for privacy wrap and order you in SS seats and fit them for you?

Don't think I could do without privacy glass now. Will you will be getting tinting film applied?

Jeez mate, they really got that one wrong spec wise!! At the end of the day, as long as you are happy. I assume you are going for a serious top end detailer and having the works done

A local guy does it for £150 and he has many a satisfied customer. Definitely wont be paying the dealer £375 for film tint.

Cheers mate, never thought of that. I'll ring them right now and get the interest sorted. I'll get the window tint done but I'm not having them **** around with pulling seats out etc.

Oh yes, they will be receiving a bill for £750 from the detailer when it is done. Already been agreed by the dealer principle.

Dreadful that sorry to hear it. With so much missing I would have probably not took it too. Could they not fit OEM windows? Ok be a hassle but say they were smashed, they are surely replaceable.

Couldn't Audi just pay for them to be tinted? What's the difference? Possibly dumb question.

Well paying for a tint would just be getting a film put over them. I don't know how factory tints are made whether it is stained glass or what, but its not a film like your aftermarket tint, the colour is in the glass.

To be fair you still have 30 days / 1,000 miles to reject it. If you do change your mind.

TBH gents after spending a bit more time in the S3 I'm not ***** anymore. I got the money back for the seats and windows and still pondering over getting the tint done. The seats don't support you as much as the SS seats but like I said earlier I couldn't be bothered waiting for months if I re-ordered. This is going to sound very very weird but the car feels quicker than the old one and although quieter it has a nice warble to it when you put the foot down. My brother thought it sounded a wee bit like a V6 lol.

Window tints can be done anywhere. Yeah it doesn’t look as good as factory but from the inside you will be hard to tell the difference. Will have to be up close to see difference from the outside and then it’s only the rear window gives it away with the heated elements. Find a good tinting company to do it.
The SS seats is just the backrest where as I find i need more support on my ar5e. They look nice though.
As long as you are happy with it.

Audi wanted £375, same as the actual tinted glass, so it's a non from me.

New to the Forum, picked up my new S3 on Saturday, absolutely loving it so far. Taking it easy for the first few hundred miles, cannot wait to open the taps and push it.

Looks great, the color and all. What alloys do you have? I guess they aren't from an A3/S3?

They are the 19’’ option from the new Audi S5! Thought it looked good, and a little different to the rest of the Audi’s on the road...

Thanks! I think they look stylish. I'd love they fitted a Sportback which they would not.

I don’t see why they wouldn’t fit! I’ve seen people with 19’’ S3 alloys on S3 Sportbacks and they fit well. My car is lowered 35mm as well so I’d say they would fit :)

There's an "aggressive wheel thread" on ASN, and what I've gathered from there is that:
1. a 8V saloon, which you own, can accommodate wider wheels than a 8V sportback, and...
2. ...due to the point #1, the widest wheels for a 8V sportback should be 235/35/19 on 19x8.5 ET45 rims for a flush non-poking look.

Your S5 alloys, 8W0601025DF, are 19x8.5 ET32 and they would poke out too far on a sportback, unfortunately.

Ahh I hadn’t realised that there was a difference in the width of the alloys on the Saloon... that would explain why the original alloys didn’t look quite right on the Saloon.

I’d considered spacers but then the new alloys didn’t need any movement... and the 19s fill the arches much more nicely.

I’m sure it might be worth a try on your sport back to see how you like the more aggressive look? If you lived nearby I’d happily lend you them for a test fit

Thanks mate! I'm sort of far away (Denmark) and I don't own a 8V Sportback yet. However I ordered a S-line one last week with expected delivery late Q1 :) Good news is that I found a replica of these rims with ET42. I have to do more research on the wheel fitment because as much as I like aggressive wheel fitment, my daily drivers car will be lowered on Eibach Pro/MSS Streets springs combo which isn't low enough to consider it aggressive. I don't want poking look.

You can write me a PM if you want some advice here, I've done some extensive research on wheel fitment for the 8V Sportback and running a flush setup myself with the wheels in my signature plus 8mm spacer on the rear.

ET42 would be okay with a 8" rim.

In Danish: Jeg kan se at du også er fra Danmark, så vi kan bare tage den på dansk hvis det er ;) Får sænket min på Eibach Pro-Kit her til foråret.
