Hi ,
The car is a petrol 2 litre quattro 2016 , bought new and very pleased with it so it was always planned to be a keeper. Just need to be clear of the maintenance costs, apart from the servicing and air con.
So i think i need :
S tronic fluid changed every 40,000 ( i do less than 10,000 miles a year so planning to get this done in March , the car would be 3 years old- best to be on the safe side and then get it done every 3 years thereafter regardless of not meeting the 40k increments).
Brake fluid change - first one at 3 years ( so in March ) and then 2 years after.

What i am not sure is that do i need to get the Haldex oil filter change every 3 years and is there anything else i should be getting done ?

Cheers
Andrew

I generally just go with what’s in the manual to be honest.

In terms of Haldex, since our cars don’t have them, that’s one you can take off the list.

Servicing - about £250/£300 a service (if you can sweet talk the dealership!) - depending on whether it's variable or not
S-Tronic Oil - £250 - check you don't need it doing after 2 years regardless of mileage though.
Brake Fluid - £60 - Rough estimate
Brake pads and discs - £600/£700 at about 60k miles (depends on driving style of course).
Tyres - £120 a corner. Fronts every 15/20k miles, rear every 40/45k, unless Quattro then they'll wear evenly front/back but slower.
Cam belt / water pump - not sure what the interval is, but I'd expect it to be around £600/700

You will be on fixed yearly services with that mileage. I would shop around and see if there is a independent Audi servicing in your area.

I have found an approved independent dealer in my area call 4 rings ltd service main dealer £260 their price £70 well worth searching

Correct me if I’m wrong the EA888 has a timing chain?

Is that Rings in Dartford? Have you used them?

Wow. I’d be very surprised if they use the original and very expensive 0w-20 oil at that price. That alone will cost £82 even from Opie Oils. Original filters are over £13 from ECParts. I’m not sure I’d change oil type before checking with Audi. Original and genuine parts etc. They don’t make the oil nor the filter but they do specify it.

All I can say is check their website

Ah - I wasn't aware sorry. That's good news then. :)

I'm pretty certain that at £70 for an oil change, it won't be using either the correct grade (for variable servicing) or VW approved. I certainly wouldn't want to be putting it through 20k miles!

The skeptic in me started to get to work so I spoke to them.

They confirmed original and expensive 0w-20 oil would be used and for my 3.0 litre diesel it would be £99. Just oil, filter and under body check but that's less than I could buy oil and filter for mine. Audi approved and Audi print out available. DEAL!

Please report back on here how you get on.
