Just found out on some random article that there are 3 versions of MHL. And MHL 3.0 does allow 2Amps charging. That may be why I could not get enough power from my MHL cable even with my 3Amps USB charger connected on the fusebox. Just need to find a new MHL 3.0 cable then...

I want to mirror my Android phone (mainly google maps) onto my screen. My phone is an andriod based Samsung galaxy A3. I would like it to charge the phone while it mirrors as well as being able to receive or make calls via Bluetooth at the same time.
Have read through all the previous threads and I’m totally confused. Is there any chance that someone who has successfully got this to work could list what you need for this to work successfully on an android device via the AMI port.

Need to swap out everything to the right of the white HDMI box. Most opt for a google chrome cast (not a good option if you ask me), an amazon fire stick or a Miracast device. There must be an apple AV cable equivalent but I have never had the need to find / test one.

How did you manage to get this to work as I have everything plugged in and the picture doesnt stay still but also says no signalI dont have mmi to mhl/microusb.. i still go through the RCA to HDMI conversion box.
Included a picture of my setup. I need power to both the mhl cable and the conversionbox .. and att the moment i just have power to one.. so i cant show you the display.
Any help?
