Anyone on here with Dragy?

Just arrived in the post today and looking forward to trying it out to get some statistics from my car. Not 100% clued up yet on how to use it but looks pretty self explanatory

Looks like you can set up leaderboards, possible to create an Audi-sport one? @Sandra

Will look into it

There's a thread in the RS3 8v forum I believe, not really seen many people mention it in the S3 area. Looks pretty cool, though as I'm not modding the car it seems a bit useless to buy one, I'd use it a few times ... but then that would be it.

Yes I have one! Absolutely fantastic piece of kit and invaluable if you plan to modify your car. I've stopped posting so much about my dragy times/mods in this forum as seems this place is much less receptive to performance comparisons/figures than other forums

The golf r guys are really into these. Very accurate kit.

I will get one together with my JB4 after new year. We need this thread!

Shame most of them drive like tools. Like the muppet the other day in slough with a tool number place starting with x666....

Hope the idiot crashes into tree. If a slip road goes to one lane before exiting onto a two lane carriageway then you are behind a car indicating and moving into the outer lane then if you to overtake the car In front, you are a tool. Honestly shocking driving.

So goes the dragy box work like the box, eg uses gps . Does it only need usb to power it up and no obd port connection needed

How much did you pay. Just bought one off Amazon seller fulfilled by Amazon, so hopefully ok and less likely a fake, for £129.99 just now. Delivery tomorrow.

I was interested in the vbox but it looked old fashioned heap and way way overpriced. Staggering they want 500 to 600 for that. Laughable

It's very simple to use. Charge it up, download the app. Put in car and away you go. It uses GPS, no wires so I put mine here for best signal possible..

You have leaderboards which is fun so you can see where you place against others.. but I'd only recommend it if your moding the car.
I used mine to fine tune my jb4 as I was having fuel timing issues.. (jb4 is a tuning box) but it does become very addictive but well worth the money imo.

I wont be modding the rs3 but just intrigued and I have 3 other cars. Might mod the s3 to stage1 simple software mod if I can convince the wife but also considering a cheapish track car like an old mx5 that'll be nodded, providing it doesnt disintegrate in a heap of rust

It's a piggyback tuning box, see here for more information: https://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/jb4-info-and-discussion-thread.309046/

I'm going for the JB4 because I got 4 years service/warranty on my car and don't want to cancel this by doing a traditional traceable ECU tune (Not saying the JB4 is untraceable but you have to look for it to know it was there if you take it off during service).

Customer service is second to none also. George always replys directly to me within hours.

Also its night and day difference to standard. I had a mapped golf r before the s3 and must say theres nothing in it for me.

Ability to re sell and for me I can't be ***** to remove so I let them have a visual flag on service but set it up to act as a pass through so on test drive it drives standard. But most sensible people just remove it for the service which doesn't leave any flags.

Even if there is a fault code thrown up everything is kept within normal parameters I believe so hard to prove you were running more boost.

:)

I want to hide the magnet - was thinking under the panel where the screen comes out of but after a quick youtube search, that means a full strip out job!

Can you easily chuck one into a friends car and like change the app or something so it doesn't get logged as ur own times?

I didn't do any 100-200kmh runs once I fixed the fuel timing bug.. I'm sure it was about 11seconds before the fix
It did 12.14 1/4 before fix so I'd expect that to now be in the 11s as my 0-60 before fix was in the low/mid 4s but dropped to high 3s once fixed
Its definatly quick

Gr8 had it around 3 or 4 months now and musta done over 100 launches lol a section would be gr8 add me on the draggy app though username: s38v
