Facelift Post Pics Of Your Facelift A3/S3 8V In Here

Ah I love the banter that permeates this site. On another matter. That Volvo XC 60 18 plate that I hired recently..was supposed to be a Mercedes C220d and that is another story with Enterprise, but back to the Volvo. The new Xc60 is huge and drives like a tank. I never have been an SUV fan and this Volvo effort cements that opinion. The steering is awful and does not self centre, the ride is ok for motorways but wallows on country roads. The glaring fault and safety issue was the crash avoidance system which I could not figure how to turn off on the useless touch screen. The issue was it would trigger the brakes by itself with beeping warning sounds, it did this 4 times over 2,800 miles. It once applied full brakes and made steering adjustments on the motorway for no reason, no paper bags or other objects floating in front of the radar sensor or vehicles within near proximity. One other time I was overtaking another car on a two lane country road, brakes applied whilst vehicles were side by side, not a great feeling if another car had been approaching the other way. The other times were puttering around town and no reason for application of the brakes.
This is one reason I believe that these autonomous "safety devices" are being adopted way too early by car manufactures and are prone to software glitches. A case in point is that Tesla just this week settled a class action court case with issues to their Autopilot 2.0 system with brakes being applied for no reasons and veering out of lanes.
The other software glitch was their fob keyless system. It would not allow the car to start with a visible warning no keys in car when they were in the tray in front of the armrest where they were stored upon every entry. I had to remove the keys go outside the vehicle, lock the car, re-enter place the fob to the same place and it would start. It did this 3 times and one other time it flashed this warning whilst I was driving it and the main display went blank. I had to stop and repeat the procedure I just described. All in all not a great Volvo experience and this car had 800 miles on it when I picked it up.

I'm proud of you @jassyo06 , really proud................ but..........................
you do know that unless you vibrate kiln sand back into the joints, you've just opened them up making it paradise for weeds!?
Do it quick, then seal it with Thomsons driveway sealer to save having to do it again.........and again..........and again mate.
I learned the hard way years ago.
6 out of 10 for effort though lol :whistle2:

Yeah, I mean Ive looked through the thread, and people posting all those fancy S3. RS3, S-line cars))) And Ive got a regular one, but still think A3 sedan has very sexy design even with regular exterior )))

These are my stock audi 18" alloy wheels in 5-arm pylon design. Car was ordered with those by previous owner )) I like them a lot)))

Nice Matt :) I'm a sucker for a long exposure of cars haha
First proper time trying it, quite fun really. Taking all the motorway signs out from behind the light trails took some doing!

looks good! sedbergh motorway junction? my pic is just a few minutes north of there.
been sat on google maps for a while trying to find spots, might have one more i could do, or I need a lens with a lower focal length, all the bridges going over motorways are too smaller area for what i've got
