currently waiting on delivery of our car which is currently sitting at Emden :chargrined: feels like it’s been ages (14 days).

Anyway my dealer advised that yesterday was the final day of production for the S3 in its current model.

Cue the usual massed panic that people are buying an 'out of date car' :welcoming:

And so in demand that there'll be no discount on new stock and used S3 saloons will be snapped up for £5k more than equivalent Sportbacks. ;)

Sorry to be a numpty - so at the moment they’ve kinda suspended factory orders due to MY19 etc etc yea? I’m currently considering an offer where a dealer has said they can amend a car they have with a build date already (September time it would be due). Is this likely if production is suspended? Or is it only orders that are suspended not the actually production line or whatever. Thanks

I don't see why they would suspend production though. Surely, they'll have been working on the engines (if they need to) behind the scenes for ages. And as for the real world fuel consumption figure. Just a change to the text from 47mpg to 27mpg.

One things for sure they'll NO major changes to the line up... .Just minor peripherals at best the final MY change to the pre facelift car MY16 was in the reduction in price of the technology package Audi took £300 off it and charged a £1000 for it, this time last there was delays on exclusive paint colours and also there's now minor hiccups with MMI issues . ...

IYHO any likely change in APR (current 6.4 is pretty rubbish for a new car) and any more likely AUDI deposit contribution for this last push of the 8V? Thinking bout pulling the trigger on a stock car that’s ready but not sure whether to wait to see the new changes and any likely major financial changes from audi. I know nothings a certainty just after your thoughts.
