Audi s3 8p whistling sound

The car is in the garage.... going to be diagnosed...
It was whistling under load and also a small amount when idling.... probably I only drove 2 miles then parked it up... I have a feeling it could be turbo related. Anyone had anything similar? Car is mapped but I hardly drive it let alone drive it hard... no smoke or oil I can see.

I don't think the turbo spools up when idling, so that is unlikely to be the problem.
Have you checked all hoses are fitted securely and looked for any obvious leaks or splits in the hoses?

Sounds like the crankcase breather valve. Cheap and cheerful to replace.

If you notice when you start the car ( warm Start ) if your needle flickers a tad and then settles and lets say your stopped at lights and it does it again then you will be drawning some air in .
2 things to check ( dip stick and all hoses are sealed correctly round the Pcv ) cause they can cause this problem.

Mine had a whistle when the pcv was faulty. Cheap easy replacement if it's this mate.

Update....
faulty diverted valve replaced...but still ain’t running right. Seems to have a vacuum leak somewhere.... now the problem is finding someone in Cardiff that’s got a smoke tester... I can’t find anyone with one that works! Anyone?
It’s been on the rollers and data logged.. nothing coming up... original map is on... so doesn’t seem to be a problem with the map that was on there.... these small faults give the biggest headaches!
