Hi,

I picked up my new (to me) 2013 Audi A1 S line on the weekend. It has a multimedia system that includes a CD slot, 2 x SD slots and it has the AMI connection in the glove box so I can connect my iPhone etc. The stereo and the steering wheel both have a 'Nav' button, but according to the info on the pop-up screen the Nav hasn't been enabled yet.

Do I have to take the car to Audi and pay £500-600 to get sat nav enabled and installed, or is there some way it can be done for less money?

I've included pics of my stereo incase that helps identify what system I have etc.

Thanks

Thanks d.d. So it's a case of ringing round the stealers then. Such a shame you can't just buy the SD Map Pack with license and activation code yourself and then only pay Audi to activate it.

Anyone know what model Multimedia System I have?

You'll have to poke about your unit, cant remember what buttons to press and it'll show you the software version on the screen. Mine was RMC and has to be updated by Audi at the cost you said, £500ish

Thanks, I had a good look round but couldn't find the info. I'll have another look but have decided to buy a Garmin with free Map updates for the time being as it just seems so much cheaper and offers so much more functionality compared to Audi's system. Maybe I'll get the Audi Sat Nav activated in the future. Thanks again.

That's what i've got. Hardly use sat nav and for the £500 spend it on something else.
