Hi guys my boot won’t open the only way to do it is manually by climbing in the boot and pulling on the release latch.

So far I’ve change the handle on the outside and the actual latch its self but even so after that when you unlock the car nothing happens to the latch (it doesn’t move) and when you pull on the handle same thing nothing.

The rear wiper motor was leaking so I’m guessing it has something to do with that is there anything else I can test? Maybe use a volt meter to the connector that goes into the latch and see if it gets power when I unlock the car? Does anyone know which pins I should be testing as there’s 4 and what to turn my volt meter to?

If it was leakin then check all the wires inbetween the body/boot. Over time cable's break on most cars in the boot, inbetween doors aswell, if the water feed was leakin then it goes even sooner. Dont remember from head if u have the cable to boot on both sides or only on one though. Just remove the rubber and pull on each cable separately to see if anythin is loose.
 
Try unlocking using the remote key whilst standing next to rear hatch. If you can hear the actuator clunking, then power is getting to the lock, most likely mechanical lock problem.
If no clunking when pressing the unlock button then yes it's no power at the lock.
Think you need someone who knows how to test with a meter to help you, bit difficult to explain on here.
 
Tried the new comfort module still not working though. If I unplug the wire that goes into the locking mechanism the DIS says the boot is closed (when it’s open) and if I plug it back in it says it’s open as it is. So that means the wire going into it is fine as it knows when the boot is closed or open.

Maybe the 2nd hand lock I got was faulty? Or am I missing a part on my lock? My Haynes manual says it has a actuator but I can’t find it
