Bixenon is the headlight type, not the bulb.
Its 1 bulb 1 beam but a motor in the headlight adjust the beam to suit.

Soo tempted by the conversion kit Trups does.
Question...do the D3S bulbs loose a bit of their brightness over time? Cant say I can see my lights being as 'bright' as they were a year ago.

Not sure tbh, however mine are not as good as I would have expected, that's why I will buy the D1 kit, in time
I just recently had a bulb go on me & ended getting a pair of these Osram night breakers. Swapping them over was really easy too & also a much better light output than the originals.

I bought some of these for my A1. I upgraded to 5000k as the standards were 4300k. These were pure white no yellow at all unlike the 43000k
These have lasted a while to good value for the money.

Looks easy enough, plastic cover between the 2 headlights, then 4 torx screws on each light, disconnect the loom plug and pull the whole headlamp out, disconnect the bulb and change over, (I had a look at a YouTube video)

I'm learning something new here, I always assumed that HIDs were just HIDs, but now I see Xtreme Vision and Night Breaker versions are available too, hum, will I won't I - ?

One of mine went, I wasn’t sure if it was a bulb or the ballast I swapped bulbs, turned out to be a bulb. Went to TPS bought a pair replaced both.
