Facelift UK RS3 Saloon/SB (400ps) Order Thread...

Mine is with 10K a year - eventhough I do about 3-4 didnt want to be limited

I'm currently doing about 12k, but I don't have to use the car for work anymore so that's 4k less. But I would never just hand the car back, I would either pay it off or PX it. Adding mileage is a waste of money if you plan on doing anything but hand it back and walk.

What is the finance rate on your quotes? I was told 6.2% but someone mentioned 6.0% a few posts previously.

I'm still making my mind up on the Spec, indecisive.

I've had it confirmed it is 6% half an hour ago.

Choosing 5,000 as opposed to 10,000 is false economy, you'll save on the monthlies but be stung at the other end.

With the lower monthly payments you won't be clearing the amount financed off as quick as you would on the 10k plan thus when you come to sell you would be owing more.

To be fair the differences being fairly negligible.

Good news on the finance rate then, all helps I suppose.

All depends on the value of the car, there are 2011 registered cars with 50k on selling for £23k! So a 30,000 ish mile 4 year old car will be worth more than the £23k stated. But this one I plan on paying off in the end. I'm keeping my deposit relatively low, it's all about the monthlies for me as 4 years is a long time away!

Wow that's a big spec! Why did you feel the need to go debadged?

Build date 14th August so hopefully get in September

I have also been given a build date of 14th August. The car industry normally closeses down in the first 3 weeks of August!! UK order.

maybe it's just me but why would anyone want to pay 700 per month on car finance?

No wonder there is so much in the press about the impending car finance crisis. Each to their own and I've wasted loads on cars but this seems a bit much.

I've only just gone up onto my final pay grade out of an apprenticeship this month. I don't want to put a stack of cash down and then struggle, when you could just pay £25 a month extra.

Fair play to you, you seem to have done your thinking.

Thanks for the price list. Confirms that the RS3 Saloon has a smaller boot than the Sportback. 315L vs 335L with rear seats up, 770L vs 1175L with rear seats down. Disappointed but I am bored of the sportback shape with the my current car and the last being sportbacks. Think I'll be going Floret Silver with Black Pack too. Don't think I'll get red brakes for this one though, the standard black brakes will fit the silver and black theme. With Mythos Black, the red brakes just completes the look, probably why Audi show the red brakes using a black car.

Out of interest, the guys with a FL S3 looking to move into an RS3 what sort of negative equity are you having to make up?

My car was £34k in August, current Audi valuation is £28.5k but I've been offered £30k unseen. Car was new in August, 8500 miles.
My negative equity is £1500 ish at the moment.

I think you are in for a rude awakening.

2016 '16' reg S3 Sportbacks are booking at £26,250 on Audi's valuation tool.

For example, this August 16 Sportback is listed at £28,492, similar mileage, spec is irrelevant on Trade price. If this car is selling for £28,5k and the dealer is making profit on it, it's clearly not booking at £28.5k

This one gets an extra £250 at £26.5k for the lower mileage.

If you have genuinely been offered £30k for yours, get rid of it right now and bite their arms off. The guy must be nuts as you can buy the Sportbacks from Audi directly with dealership support for less as proven above.

In addition to that, have you ordered an RS3 saloon yet? It may take 6 months for a build especially if your dealer has already allocated their RS3 slots and you are going exclusive colour. They wont be offering you £30k in 6 months time when your RS3 arrives. That coupled with your 4 yr finance plans means that your balance is being paid off a lot slower than if you financed your car over 36 months, this in turn by choosing a 4yr term and selling early, leaves even more negative equity. If you are still owe £32k now and Audi are listing your trade price at £26k as it is now, that's £6k of negative equity you have to handle and that's if you were to trade now, never mind in 6 months when your RS3 arrives and that £26k Audi are offering now is then £24k in 6 months time.

Just be careful, stepping in and out of cars after short periods is a dealers dream and a buyers financial disaster. (My RS3 will be my 13th new Audi since 2009 so well aware of the pitfalls of selling early.)

£569 per month with what deposit?

Finance rate is set by Audi finance, its non negotiable on new cars.

If you have been offered 4.9%, I suspect this is probably a mistake on your dealers behalf as 4.9% is the Audi S3 rate. He's perhaps used the S3 rate as opposed to the new higher RS3 rate reported to be 6.0%

If you get 4.9% and that's accurate, everyone else will also get 4.9%.

Or are you getting your 4.9% from a 3rd party finance company?

No through Audi but will double check with him I know these salesmen will say anything!!!
That figure was 7k deposit

Opinion - as you can see with my signature going for Nardo and Black Pack and will paint standard wheels gloss black. So looking at the RS3 brochure brake calipers come in black as standard with RS Logo - should I drop the RED Calliper option ?

Fingers crossed Audi have reduced it to 4.9% to match the S3 rate but doubt it highly. Think it's probably a salesman mistake but keep us updated.

My car is a 66'plate and had a retail of £38k, I had a very good deal on it.

I will be having an appraisal done tomorrow! I got offered £30k by a trader who would put another mark up on it. The car is in pristine condition, Audi told me straight not to sell it to them because they cannot appreciate what it is because all they can look at is book price. Not to mention the £1045 Audi Fitted CobraTrak 5.

My monthlies are very high, the monthlies are covering the depreciation every month and a lot more because I am with Black Horse Finance, so had greater insterest. It is going in the right direction. The S3 is my 4th car in 3 years, the RS will be by 5th.

As far as RS3 goes, I have ordered a Sportback and had one of their November slots. They estimate a 6-8 week delay on the build because of the Exclusive Colour. Because my monthlies are high, the longer I wait the better situation I am in. Especially now because the car will only be effectively used for a maximum of half a year (4 on 4 off shifts), it is unlikely to cover any considerable mileage.

Red callipers suit dark colours, black the best in my opinion followed by possibly Daytona. I don't think they would suit silver or red, I think you will get away with them on Ara okay although it is a lighter blue.

Nardo with black will be nice, not sure on red callipers to be honest, would probably need to see a pic first. They will look good against the dark wheels but may be a bit of a mismatch against the paint.

Just checked thought too good to be true he apologised made a mistake 6% oh well!!!

Audinutta,

I thought your car was August 16? August would be 16reg, 1st Sept 66reg.

Must have misunderstood. If you are getting £30k for it then that's very good when the book price is a bit lower than that. Not bad only being £1.5k in negative equity at 12 months into a 48 month PCP, the way they are setup unless you've ploughed a significant deposit into it you normally only come into equity within the last year.

What exclusive colour are you thinking? Daytona now off the menu?

See photo which has RED calipers - seems all photo found have the red! be nice to see it with black calipers.

Yeah I would say they suit Nardo against the black wheels too.

Out of interest, the guys with a FL S3 looking to move into an RS3 what sort of negative equity are you having to make up?

I only did a 2 year deal on my S3 and because of my part exchange/deposit, I pretty much started off in positive equity. Right now Audi part-exchange gives a value of my car for £28,250. I bought it as an ex-demo for £32k. I think I'm around £1.5k-2k positive equity atm.

I see some of the first PCH deals are starting to appear, for the "standard" saloon on a 6x23 10 k per annum £689 inc vat, or around £20 k for two years..ouch!

Nope the car was October registered, 66.

Yes that was a good price, but like I said my payments are pretty high so I am paying a fair amount more than what the car depreciates a month.

I am looking at Mica Racing Blue, flew back from Tenerife last night.. up early to get ready and go spec/order one. It was going to be Daytona, but only because nobody could tell me when I would get Exclusive. I've been told their November build slots would be delayed by 6-8 weeks for the colour, but I am going to get this in writing today.

I'm in 2 minds TTRS or Saloon and best colour TTRS in yellow with black pack or Saloon in Ara Blue and Black Pack any other good combos always done black want a change
