stuck a bunch of albums on a sd card this morning, its not been transferred from Itunes. ive tried googling for something to match the album with artwork but no luck.

any ideas?

I have to delete the one from iTunes, find the album art in google then resize it in paint to 600x600 then add it back into iTunes.

Try putting the SD card into the computer and resize one as 600x600 just to test.

I use a program called MP3tag to add art to each album.

You can also use a program called MusicBrainz Picard to automatically tag and name and add artwork to all your MP3s.

I use MP3Tag too. You can set up a task to import cover art from a file in each folder. I use 800 x 800 images, called folder.jpg in each folder, then import using MP3Tag.

MP3Tag - great bit of free software. Nice and quick. And eady to correct any other tags - I find there are sometimes errors.

Yep that's what I use also, I've also found that for the album art to work on the mmi it needs to be no bigger than 500x500 and under 200KB in size.

As above 500x500 max for non tech pack or 800x800 if you have the tech pack.

Loads more info in FAQ.

My car seems to pull the album art automatically from its internal database (or maybe the internet). I've never intentionally added art to my SD card but it always has art (my songs are also not coming from iTunes).

im sure im doing something wrong here doesnt seem to be uploading the artwork. do you have to purchase it to make it work?

If using MP3Tag, you search for the album art on the internet. It finds it for you automatically.

I didn't realise there was a file pixel limit on the standard MMI. I'm sure I've used pictures larger than 500x500 on my car successfully. I will check later today on my next journey.

...also has anyone managed to get album art displayed when using Bluetooth as the source on a standard MMI?

I have put a data SIM in my car and thought this might work some voodoo internet magic via Gracenote(mentioned in the manual) but alas it seems not to work!
